The once great Birria at chalio Is no longer. The birria had no taste the consome was mostly tomato paste thick and bland. I used to love to come eat here. I just don't know what changed? Owners, cook, supplier's? I don't know. The chips and salsa were the best part of this meal sadly. I won't come here anytime soon.

Order one of birria with consomé no flavor Also a bowl of birria meat was hard n green Beef enchiladas meat had a birria taste Carne asada plate steak was super dry 1 bottle coke 2 waters paid 175 overall very nasty never going back and on a Sunday evening no ppl at all 🤦🏽♀️

The fish tacos are the bomb, reminds me when I was a kid hanging around Ensenada Mexico. Eating here brought back good memories.
Walked in and was welcomed by a lady mopping the floor, leaving the floor so wet I had to be careful not to slip as the scent of the cleaner overwhelmed the place and ruined the atmosphere. The waitress was not people friendly at all, I ordered a coffee de La Jolla and Birria, the coffee tasted old and watered down like the birria. After this, it was shocking that the bill came to $65 for two people. Never again, it’s a rip off!

Sadly they want to charge you for everything, even breathing. kinda rude service, very mediocre. I didn't want to order a large meal because I dint want the food to go to waste. so I wanted something from the kids menu. and was told I couldn't. like what the F? I'm a paying customer. now I can't even eat? was so upset. not coming back here again. the only good thing about this place was the atmosphere and their hand made tortillas.

I went here thinking maybe the reviews were wrong but no they were actually pretty accurate. Birria tasted old Consome was watered down and service was just not what you'd expect for a sit down restaurant. Waiter was pretty in a hurry and didn't give that much attention to us. I always ask my kids how was the customer service and they rated it a big Zero. We live and learn.
