Gourmet Mexican Cuisine. Love this place! Try the coffee, try the cheese taco and the mole fries and the salsa and chips... and... and ... and...Vegetarian options: Lots to enjoy... must try the cheese taco. The mole fries are amazing and I love their house salsa and chips. Their coffee is special. If you're a coffee lover, you will be craving it!

Came on a rainy Tuesday. Tacos on the menu were $2 off. The tacos themselves are delicious, filling and shareable. Our favorites were the shrimp and the duck tacos. We also ordered the sopes de cochinita pibil which were outstanding.

My Cousin had her 60th Birthday party here. She pre planned prior for a party of 27 people we should have had two servers , not one....All in all the Marachis were great....

Our server appeared bothered everytime we asked him for things he should have offered, like more water, chips etc. Also, a first to have to pay extra for tortillas that usually come with order of menudo and huevos con chorizo.

I will update this with more detail later. But long story short we were a party of two and waited for 30 minutes without any service. Not even a glass of water was brought out. We were taken to our table but ignored for 25 minutes after that. We walked out. I've never had to do that before.

The food and service were pretty good, but there is some room for improvement. Prices seemed a little high, as everywhere else. $18 margaritas seemed a bit excessive, but luckily, they gave us half off when I asked if there was a happy hour (the answer was no to happy hour.)We had fideo since that was the reason my friend brought me here, but after adding all the toppings, it came out to about $26 a bowl, and it didn't seem worth it. There was too much liquid in my bowl. Wish they put more shrimp and beans in my bowl. My friend got a decent amount of chicken in his, so I probably should've ordered that?The ceviche mixto was pretty good. It was a pretty big serving. I wish I could have ordered a half size for half price. Seemed like a mixture of cooked and semi cooked and semi raw seafood. Crab meat on top was probably from a can. I would probably try another version next time.The agua fresca margaritas were pretty good. We ordered the guava ones. I really appreciate real fruit in my drinks, but I couldn't really taste the guava, and it tasted a little watered down. Maybe it could have used a bit more fruit or lime juice. IDK, maybe agua fresca is supposed to taste more like water?Our server, Yesenia, was very friendly and nice. She accommodated our requests and gave us half off margaritas. Her lovely smiles were much appreciated.

The food is incredible! Every last thing on the menu is delicious. I was sad to see Colonia Publica change to Mediterranean because I love the fideo so much, but then found out the fideo just moved to Bizarra Capital. Stoked! Makes Bizarra Capital that much tastier.Plus, the service is always excellent! The nicest people all gathered together and decided to work here.All around, I love Bizarra Capital. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Whittier!
The food was Good, I thought a few dishes I've had were pretty good. As for the others, not so much. The meal selections I wasn't satisfied with were due to (the best way I could describe), sweetened. The meat portions of the meals were sweet. I am not a fan of sweetened meat portions when usually they are not. The was a major turn off for me. What saved the night was the waiter. His attitude was professional, positive, and on point, problem solver.Since then we've attended the restaurant several times, and we've coincidently have had the same waiter, so every visit's experience was expected to live up to the initial visit. Without fail, we were not disappointed, very pleased.Just because a few dishes were not to my liking doesn't mean I would review negatively. No one is perfect, no service is perfect all because life happens. It is not what we are or where we come from . . . It's all about what we develop into. Our waiter is an example of that, his display of dedication was the Win that has kept us returning.
