Was looking for sine Mexican bread in Whittier and came across Chapala Bakery which has a duster bakery in Montebello that is great. Went in and yes, very similar taste. Will go back!

The bread is good and it’s upsetting because the customer service is horrible now days! There is this young girl that always throws the pan dulce in the bag. All my pan dulce was broken into pieces. She is rude. I have ask her many times not to do that. I will just not go back.

This place doesn’t deserve any stars, we just purchased a cake from them today & as soon as we cut into it it was green and moldy, tasted super weird. Unfortunately people did ingest this cake. I will continue to report this company because god forbid any of my family members get sick because of this!!!!! Please do not support businesses who do not care about what they’re selling or how to properly handle and make food that people ingest! It is disgusting!! I walked in to show them what they had sold us & the employee was laughing the whole time.

This is the best pan dulce in Whittier. Customer service is always friendly. Reasonable prices. They even sell tamales, which we've tried and know they're delicious. There's almost never a long wait. Large variety of pan dulce. Yummo!!!

Bread was so sour and old, their champurado was great but other than that we will not be returning.

Horrible customer service and overpriced. Went in to place a two tier cake - a basic plain one. The lady who "helped me" was going to charge me 350. No decorations to it or anything. When I repeated 350 because I was just shocked, she nodded her head saying yes to me and told me " I have until Monday if you want to place the order and walked away." Which I thought was extremely rude. It was an older lady which I've seen already that there's reviews on her. These businesses need our money to survive, the least they can do is have better service. Definitely will not return.

This is a great place to go if you want fresh authentic Mexican bread. They always have a wide selection of all types of bread from sweet bread to bread that you can use to make sandwiches. They also have candies they also have ice cream and Mexican popsicles. I just recommend for you to go early in the morning because the certain breads will run out and it might take a minute for them to make a new ones. I highly recommend this place just make sure that you're prepared to find parking because parking is a little difficult. I normally go to this place maybe twice a week and I never have an issue they accept cash and they also accept credit.
