Wife's brisket was dry and over-cooked, son's fried chicken stops where a dark brown, while our other son's baby back ribs came out dry as well. DISGUSTING! This is the worse BBQ spot that can exist! We were in the area and decided to stop by. A party of 8, we ordered baby back ribs, beef ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Baby back ribs were disturbing in texture, almost felt as if the ribs were frozen, then boiled, then slathered with old BBQ sauce. Beef ribs were pink/red chewy and gooey, and the meat had a similar texture of old funky smell the BBQ couldn't cover up. The pulled pork sandwich was shredded pork, like hard, old carnitas slathered in sauce, it all went to the trash. The only thing that was edible was the blooming onion. The cole slaw had a taste of vinegar with mayo and lots of pepper. The onion rings were heavily battered and still raw, so gross. The corn was flavorless mush! It pained me when we got the bill $375 (gratuity included). I do not know how anyone can eat here or even how this place is still in business.

Had dinner here today, heard that Chris n pitts is closing and being torn down, this is literally one of my favorite places to eat, I've been bringing my kids here for many years when the kids plate was about $3.00 , sad to see this place go definitely will be missed..

We went in the other day and right when we walked in the door the smell of cleaner was very strong. They sat us down took our order brought us our drinks. There was 4 of us 2 got water that tasted like tap water gross. While sitting there we finally had to tell the waitress we had to leave it smelled so bad I just couldn't eat my food smelling bathroom cleaner. We've ate here many time the food is good. The restaurant is old and dirty it needs a remodel. Our table was so sticky.

This review is for the whittier location on Washington bl. I highly recommend not going here.. I use to love this place like about 35 years ago. I've went here on wnesday oct 19th 2022. Omg. Horrible experience. The food was like days old. My moms chicken fried steak was soo.old and burnt I couldn't bleave it. My son ordered beacon cheese burger well done. It was so bloody..my hamburger steak dinner didn't even look like a hamburger steak I even asked the server is this a hamburger steak. She said yes...omg. my frys were soo old dried out and burnt .. well it wasn't free I paid way over 140 $ sorry to say it was totally garbage. Plus the place is sooooo. Dirty its unreal. I highly Dont recommend this location...Go to Artesia. And the main part i got sick second day to day i still have Diarrhea
Read in the news online that this location was going to be closing, so my husband and I drove down from Sacramento so I could have one final meal here. I grew up coming here and our visit was every bit as good as I remembered from my childhood. I got the half rack of baby back ribs and my husband got the sirloin steak and bbq chicken combo. The ribs were smoky and tender and fell off the bone. As always the beans and fries were excellent. The salad they served us before the meal was fresh, crisp and came with plenty of salad dressing. My husband said his steak was one of the best he had ever had. Thank you Chris and Pitts for a wonderful meal and a wonderful memory for me and my husband, was totally worth the 6 hour drive from Northern California.

Dinner Top Sirloin is the best. The salads and drinks are always super cold. Miss the one in Rosemead, on Garvey.Always good! Been coming here for years. Sorry to see you go at the end of the year.

Good rating because I've always liked Chris and Pitt's. But it was frustrating tonight because the hours on Yelp said it was open until 8:30. They closed at 8:00. Really disappointing

So I came in to this place by way of reviews ... I can definitely say I was so utterly disappointed the reviews were legit scam.. the plates I ordered and received (ribs 20.99)(burger jumbo 14.99) (sirloin steak 14.99) ribs were bone dry I took one bite and it was all bone no meat ... broke off with such dryness and to top it off they bathed in shelf bbq sauce ...I requested my plate be returned and they did with no problem I requested and received as my second option sirloin steak as my other guest had ordered and gave it a 4 outta ten ... ten min later plate came thru sizzling I gave it a 5 outta 10 the two sides offered were just thrown together as last minute after thoughts and tasted as such the staff were pleasant and understanding Cleanliness well my elbows and arms stuck to the table and the dust on the wall gave alot to be desired won't be back ..
