I am biased as I grew up down the street and ate here since pretty much when I was born in the 80s. My go to meal as a growing teen was a corn dog, a chilli cheeseburger, and chilli cheese fries with an Orange Bang. My favorite thing to get are the chilli cheese fries. Especially when topped with pastrami or carne asada or both IYKYK. I've eaten at dozens of these beloved L.A. subdivision greasy spoon diners and Douglas has the best chilli cheese fries.

Drive -through can take a while, but that is because they make the food to order. It isn't sitting around waiting.

Well, thinking this Douglas location on Washington, was the same ownership as the one on Telegraph/Gunn in Santa Fe Springs..I wish I'd went to the SFS location better!
Order was missing an item, they claimed I didn't ask for in drive thru, then I had to get off and order inside because they had to make it still and there was a long line.
When inside, I ordered in addition another Orange Bang drink while waiting for corn dog. As I'm serving the orange bang drink I notice it's coming down clear and upon tasting, I knew it was gonna taste watery. I advise the lady who had taken my order at drive thru window and she responds bothered, saying both serving stations for public and for employees to serve are the same. I responded it was not the same, being I had already tasted some from behind their counter when I ordered originally at drive thru. Burger tasted dry. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOUGLAS IN SFS (TELEGRAPH/GUNN) SERVICE OS 10+
NEVER EXPERIENCED MISSING ITEMS AND SERVICE IS ALWAYS GIVEN WITH A SMILE AT SFS LOCATION!

This is one of our favorite places to eat! We came in for dinner and ordered the chicken quesadilla and cheeseburger combo. Both were delicious. My boyfriend ordered a banana split, which was also delicious! The staff is always friendly, and the dining area is always clean! I highly recommend Douglas Drive In for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! 🤎
