First visit here. Absolutely loved it. The albacore sashimi should really be renamed a carpaccio. Thinly sliced premium seared albacore with a tangy delicious ponzu sauce. With more than 10 slices, it's the perfect delicacy to share with someone special. Everything else here was super fresh and tasty. The ambience is dark & comfy and the customer service was friendly, quick & efficient. I found my new favorite spot for sushi.
They have some of the best sushi and sashimi. Service is exceptional as is the food. One of my favorite rolls is the Alex. The spicy sashimi salad is tasty as is the ahi tuna cilantro bowl. Their spicy ponzo goes good with everything. Their food is fresh and good quality and chefs put together some good rolls. Accompany your lunch or dinner with a shot or a bottle of sake. I think they are the best sushi place in Whittier and would highly recommend them. Stop by and indulge in good food.

Food: Spicy Tuna Handroll, Joe Joe Special, E-Sushi Special, Edamame We finally made it to E-Sushi, a spot that we always see when we go to the restaurants around it. We came around 9pm and there was only one other table occupied which allowed us to receive a lot of attention from the sushi chef behind the counter. We were quickly seated and we fired away our order. The Spicy Tuna Handroll's... delicious. Maybe in the top 5 Spicy Tuna Handrolls I've ever had. Everything else was good, had good flavor, tasted like it was good quality, it was just a little over sauced for my opinion. When looking at the menu, many of the rolls seemed a little repetitive, just with one or two different ingredients in them. Service / Restaurant: There is plenty of parking available if you come later in the afternoon. During the day time / early afternoon it gets packed with restaurants and gym that share the same plaza. Inside the restaurant it looks the same it probably did when they opened back in the day. The old school vibe of it adds to the charm and creates and intimate feeling. The chef behind the counter gave us a complimentary plate of albacore which was delicious. Notes: Prices are $1 to $3 more expensive than other local sushi spots. Just be aware of this as it does add up over time.

Great attentive service. Got the Alex roll which was amazing - it had a delicious balance of fish and sweet/salty sauce. Came on a Friday around 6:30 pm when it wasn't too packed and the place was full by the time I left. I liked the ambiance which had a lot of unique Japanese decor. Happy to support this excellent local establishment.

Esushi has been in Whittier forever and the quality has never gone down. Plenty of servers. Fast chefs and real good food. Always clean too.
