Came on a busy day with a large party, but instead of combining a couple tables they seated a smaller party that cut in front of us instead of telling them we were already waiting. We ended up leaving. My family who is from another country felt discriminated against.

The food was delicious, crunchy rolls, veggie egg rolls, shrimp tempura, edamame with garlic sauce and noodles with chicken…yummy! The restaurant is nice & clean and the service was great. Will definitely be going back.

We have been visiting Joy Sushi for at least 15.years, this amazing sushi restaurant never disappoints. The freshness of the sushi & cold beer is simply amazing. Great value too, they have a happy hour thru 7 pm everyday except Friday that makes it a great dining ezperience to sample a variety of dishes. We love.Joy Sushi and their staff especially Monet!

I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of all the food we because we were starving. We also ordered a volcano roll and 2 chicken teriyaki bowls. The bowls were a 8.99 special but i thought it was very little food. Not enough for an adult to get full on for sure. The ramen has a sweet flavor that tastes like watered down teriyaki sauce idk if that’s how authentic ramen should taste being that ive only had top ramen lol but I didn’t care for tht sweet flavor. We also got the udon 🍜 noodle soup we weren’t a fan either. I ordered the yakisoba noodles which were very thin noodles… anytime i have ordered at other restaurants the noodles are always very thick so i kinda was already disappointed the flavor was good but I didn’t get full so that why we ordered more food. Im guessing by the name it’s just really the sushi people go for because the roll I ordered was pretty good. The spicy veggie ramen was pretty good we added chicken to it. The service was good but if you have a big appetite I don’t recommend going here. We had edamame, udon, yakisoba, ramen , volcano roll teriyaki bowls and iced green tea. We spent 125$ for a family of 4. We would have spent less if the portions of food were sufficient.

This place is so delicious. We tried their happy hour menu sushi ? and it was absolutely delicious and so fresh. (Highly recommend their sashimi & the salmon tempura roll) It tasted just as fresh and delicious as the sushi I had in Japan. I will definitely come back and make this my go to sushi spot in Whittier. The servers were all so sweet and friendly! Love this place, totally recommend you check it out.

Sushi is very flavorable. They have happy hour before 7pm. Happy hour is not cheaper but smaller portions for lower price. That means you get to try different food on the menu.
