Ok, now here is a pleasant surprise, yet not a surprise, once I realized I used to visit their previous location a few years ago.
I usually pre judge a Mexican restaurant on its chips and salsa. If the chips are fresh and the salsa is good, what's to follow is usually and almost always just as good. If not well, you know the rest.
Im usually right. The salsa rojo (red) and Verde (green) are both very good, and both have a kick. The rojo has a smokey bold and spicy flavor, whereas the green has a fresh, citrus flavor with a bite that gets you reaching for your drink. Don't worry, you won't die. Lol
I had the menudo and homemade flower tortillas. Both were perfect. The menudo was fresh with the perfect balance of hominy and tripe. The hommade flour tortillas were thin and warm fresh off the coral.
My wife had the chile relleno, rice and beans, and flour tortillas. She gave this dish a thumbs up.
The granddaughter had the kids' breakfast. Egg, two pieces of bacon, potatoes, and two of some of the best pancakes I've ever tried. Yes, I picked off her plate. She, too, gave this dish a thumbs up.
If you're looking for good, really good food, you must stop in. You will not regret it.

Horrible customer service...rude waiters and management is worst. Food takes forever and when I finally did get it there was hair in my food. ZERO⭐️!

The food was delicious. My husband and I ate here today to cure our wedding party hangover.
The appetizer we devoured was the homemade Queso fundido with homemade tortillas. This I give a 10 out of 10.
I had the pork pozole. It was flavorful and the Hominy was cooked to perfection.
My husband ate the menudo. He gave it a 9 out of 10. (Could have used more flavor)
The best order of our visit goes to their delicious michiladas!! You can’t go wrong with their michilada mix!!
Great place to watch a Sunday game.

Was very disappointed in our entire experience. It took a good 40 or so minutes to get our food. After ordering, the chicken mole was very disappointing. The Chile Colorado was disappointing as well. We received 2 tortillas for 2 meals and then asked if we wanted more tortillas. Which they only brought 2 more tortillas and was charged 2.99 for the tortillas. I've never been charged for extra tortillas at any Mexican restaurant
and the server messed on our order. Will definitely never return to this place the prices were a bit steep for the restaurant of its kind.

First time I'm going to eat there, very little light to see the menu, the food was not delicious and a bit expensive, we ordered chicken mole and nothing to see and some chicken enchiladas, the only thing more or less was the melted cheese with the tortillas but the attention was The waitress was nice and attentive but the drink I ordered was good.?

Incredibly short staffed! They had 3 people running the whole place. The staff is friendly but the owner needs to come and help until they have a good process. The kitchen was a mess. Still very immature of a restaurant and over priced. They try to look like big restaurant and but don’t have the staff. In this area of your selling Mexican food you need to have amazing food or amazing service and they had neither.

March 23, 2024 at 9pm. Kids wanted a flan. My husband said this place has good ones. He went to the bar and encountered the rudest server ever. She was the red hair bartender; Tammy. Her demeanor and hand gestures was unacceptable. I hope her management reads this and speaks with her about this situation. If she's having a bad day, tough. Don't express it with your paying customers. My husband was so upset with how he was greeted and denied a menu. He walked out. All he wanted was to order his kids dessert.

Really good food here. Place has been here a few years now and gained some popularity. Service can be a little slow although no fault at all to the servers, their management should staff a little better sometimes. Pricey for the location but overall great dinner and good atmosphere for a night out. Their cocktails are very good! Good La Mirada Mexican spot. Wish they had better deals though, I’d come more often.
