The bread and drinks were yummy. Emily provided great customer service even though there was a line of people.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. The food? Absolutely delicious full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and made with love. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or enjoying a full meal, La Monarcha never disappoints. Highly recommend if you’re in the Whittier area!

I come to this place consistently every 6 months. And the quality has not improved.I am so discouraged how the overprice bread and coffee is continuously rising while the quality is diminishing. It is bakery reminds me of something you would pick up from walmart.

Girl at cashier who took my order today seemed like she hated her job LOL. And I told her I wanted to redeem my free concha and she never took it off and charged me for it, didn’t realize until after I got my receipt sent.
The best of the best... Delicioso!

If you are looking for some serenity or a mini vacation for 1-3 hours, this is the place for you! The pastries and food are excellent and artistic. The cakes are stunning and most importantly, delicious. The coffee is creative. The whole place is inviting from the art, the music, the plants, and the walking location in historic uptown. A little piece/peace of Mexico in our busy US world. The service is the best part. Everyone greeted at the door. Wilfredo made my day. It’s inspiring to see someone do their job well with a smile. No matter the job.
They ran out of toilet paper. A very human thing to do. Instead of pretending nothing is wrong, they put a paper towel roll within easy reach. The bathroom is well used and worn but smells pleasant and is well cared for. This is a rare find - businesses who share their bathrooms generously. It’s notable.
Come! Enjoy this treat. You will feel indulgent.

This place has tons of delicious pastries, such as cakes, croissants, conchas, plus some really tasty coffee. Tried their breakfast burrito and it was really good! It's spacious as well and service was great.

Wow the “Bolitas de Dulce” caught me by surprise by how good it was! The concha was ok. I got a champurrado latte and it was amazing. Don’t normally go for sweet drinks but I would get it again.

I’ve been to other La Monarca and enjoy their food/drinks. This spot is just as good or better than the others.
I had their iced horchata matcha and chicken mole burrito. The drink was phenomenal and the burrito was very delicious, didn’t look too good but the flavor of the mole was excellent. Overall a great lunch.
I’d definitely come back there to try their other menu items. A solid location with a spacious area to bring a laptop and enjoy a snack/drink.

First time here and I’m impressed. Got the rosca bread and it was very good. Lightly sweet. The conchas were mediocre and just taste like regular bread. The cookies are amazing. Mexican coffee is simple and smooth which I loved. The champurrado was very good. Not too sweet and not too thick and was very easy to drink. Their hot chocolate is good too. They sell it at Costco
