Love their coffees and mexican breads. They are fresh and tasty. Great service, too. I love coming here weekly for my mexican coffee or hot chocolate with 1-2 pastry. It's a quiet environment. Nice to relax.

This place is the best coffee spot in Uptown Whittier! My wife and I love the organic Mexican coffee, the café de olla, and the specialty lattes. Our favorite is the amazing pastry selection they offer (traditional conchas to delicious chocolate croissants). Lastly, the food items are also very good from the humble mollete to the tortas and lunch burritos. Check this place out!

I always wanna like this place so bad but the drinks always miss the mark. The flavors are either off, or the espresso is bitter. The pastries are mediocre. I asked if they were still serving the mollete and they told us no and then we asked if it was a breakfast item only and they told us uhh sort of? It's always a disappointing experience. and there's no wifi?? it would be the best place to study at.

We absolutely loved this place! Everything from the bakery treats to the ambiance of the place. The girl at the register was extra helpful in giving us suggestions on what items we may like being that it was our first time. I am thrilled this place is so close to me because I will definitely be going back. The music playing and decor is so well done there if you want to sit and have a conversation or hang out and do work on your laptop. Love love love this place!!!

I came to the la monarca on Saturday and this young lady named danna had a really nice attitude.she made my drink just perfect. The ambiance of the place was just good. I recommend the horchata frappe really good drink.

Delicious machaca egg and cheese breakfast burrito. Lots of flavor. It's a good size for breakfast, not too big so you don't stuff yourself. The organic Mexican coffee is good too. I tried a sample of their hot cocoa, very nice! Not too sweet with good chocolate flavor. Cute store with a small dining area inside. Lots of yummy cakes and cookies to look at in the case. We buy all our birthday cakes there. You won't be disappointed.

3/30/2024 4:30pm - 5:30pm My cousin and I went Saturday for concha’s. Which were great. The customer service for me was garbage. The two boys would not give me the time of day when I was trying to speak with them. For my cousin they made eye contact and made sure to give her two extra items for free with her purchase. However not with mine when I paid before her. If you are going to treat someone differently due to attraction make sure not to do it in the presence of another family member. It’s disrespectful. Be different if I wasn’t around however I was right next to her. Had to make it VERY clear to see I wasn’t their type to be given the same respect or treatment.

The lady serving today was clearly high and just looked at me with wide eyes and got my order wrong multiple times. I asked for two items, she only charged me for one. I had to explain my order to her so many times, I gave up and left. Be mindful of the people that into to work intoxicated, so disappointing.
