Great sushi! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the better sushi spots I’ve been to. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy quality sushi.

My friend and I came to dine in here and there was no wait to be seated. We ordered three items and they all came super quick! The baked salmon roll was amazing, one of the best I’ve tasted!!

Sushi is fresh and delicious, clean place! Jules is awesome!
I had came here for some to go terriyaki chicken before but this time was the first time eating at the restaurant.
It’s a cute little Japanese restaurant with a variety of options from rolls, sushi, warm plates/bento boxes.
I have definitely not explored a lot, but what we got was great.
We tried chicken gyozas, which were okay. We also tried the shrimp eggroll recommended by the owner as she told us the filling was made in house, which was good!
For the plates, I got the sesame chicken as I wanted to change from terriyaki. It was really good. Filling with the rice and salad. The miso soup was actually really good!
Overall, it was a great experience. We got to talk a lot with the owner, and I learned a bit more about that place that has been around for 20 years!
So, my only advice is: support your local smaller businesses. They need it and you get to enjoy nice food!
Stopped to get dinner before our movie and very much enjoyed the food and service. Our waitress was awesome and helpful. The rolls were beautifully placed on a plate for us to share. My brother who doesn’t like seafood loved his Beef Teryaki bowl. Will definitely come back next time we go to the movies. Jalapeño bombs and Maki Yaki special were amazing!
Super small rolls with very little fish - I was still hungry after eating two rolls. Wasn’t even offered a cup of water or anything. Better places out there for sure, especially given the portion size and price.

Food was fresh and well prepared. Service was rushed and we were made to feel we were more of an annoyance than welcome ( although we did get there 45 min before closing). The prices on the menu were not accurate, as they told us they had just increased. The atmosphere was as expected for this type of venue. Felt like more of a "take out " place than dine in.

This is my favorite sushi spot in all of So Cal. I'm a frequent visitor and have yet to have a bad experience. The hot night roll is one of the best rolls I've ever had. The sauces are made in-house, and you can definitely tell. Small touches like that make this place shine. The rainbow rolls are also top-notch. They also have other great options like Udon and bento boxes. The Bento boxes are great for when you can't decide on what you want. They're massive, though, and we rarely finish them. I'll never stop coming here.
Vegetarian options: They have sufficient vegetarian options.
Parking: You can get lucky and find curbside parking but there's also a huge free parking garage right across the street.
Kid-friendliness: It's a family friendly establishment.

Maki Yaki is hands down one of the best sushi spots in all of So Cal. The location is great, service is fast, prices are very reasonable and most of all it's some of the best sushi around. The rainbow roll and Hot Night Roll are my 2 favorite items. All of their sauces are hand made and you can definitely tell the quality is unrivaled. The Bento Box is also a great value if you want a little bit of everything. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try, you wont regret it. It's also across the street from a cool little bar which is a plus.

Apparently if you’ve never been here before and decide to take a minute or two to review the menu. The cashier lady and older gentleman are gonna give you some serious attitude and laugh as you walk out because you decided not to waste your money there.
