First time eating here and both the food and service were great. Had a molcajete with asada chorizo and shrimp and one was enough for three people!

My favorite seafood restaurant in all of Whittier. Fresh, delicious and the finest quality seafood dishes. I highly recommend the camarones al ajo, tasty mojarra frita and great shrimp cocktails.

Food is delicious, I’ve been here multiple times but the service is terrible on a Saturday evening. Yesterday my family and I sat down and a rude waitress brought us menus and said someone else will be right with us. After waiting 10-15 min the rude waitress brought chips and drinks to a table behind us that came in after we did. When we asked someone else to take our order, that rude waitress told them no and that someone else will take our order. We walked out and went somewhere else that would NOT make us wait ON PURPOSE. What was the reason?
I think Ortega forgot how to clean their shrimp. I’ve been coming here for a long time and just recently noticed that they’re not deveined at all.

This place has the best fish ceviche I ever had! Anyone that is sensitive to fish, I highly recommend this place. I have an allergy to certain type of sea food and their ceviche is drenched in lemon juice. Also I love ordering the asada molcajete for 2 people, you will still have leftovers. The waiters are very nice! I do recommend getting their earier in the day to avoid bigger crowds. Chips and salsa is addictive 😋.
