Two things that suck ? there . They serve Pepsi. As for music ? they have a jukebox. We put $10 to hear a few songs but never heard them. The only way to hear your requests is to pay more money to bump up your list. So, I basically paid ten dollars for one song. Won't be using the jukebox again.

This bar has all the right games at any given time. Great place! Football playoffs were showing on every TV outside of the bar. Another the end. One maybe two screens were dialed to NASCAR. For the most part, Our server was attentive and she would ask us how are doing. Her instinct The menu was substantial. I choose the dip if I remember correctly. Awesome sandwich. The nacho were LOADED with various meats and copious amounts of cheese. Worth checking out if are visiting Whittier.

This used to be a sports bar called Slam Dunk before it got botox, lip fillers, a fake ass, and a name change with the Social Security Administration. The concept of Parlor Bar is appealing: gourmet food, craft cocktails, and draft beer. What's there not to like? Well...a few things.【QUICK TIPS】# Parlor Bar would've been 3 stars had the food & drinks not been overpriced.# As much as they promote themselves as a solid gastropub, I see Parlor as a sports bar with makeup on. Sports bar food and drinks at craft cocktail prices. The value isn't there.# Considering trying them out anyway? They do a happy hour M-F 4-7 pm. Try doing their HH first and see what you think. Maybe, just maybe I'll try Parlor one more time for HH.【end QUICK TIPS】The food is pretty average for what they charge, the drinks overpriced for what they are, and the facelift of the interior suggests that it caters to basic bitches and bros who don't understand the value of money. The glowing pink hue of "Whittier...where the girls are prettier!" neon sign hovering above the partially-open kitchen double doors is a testament to that. Placing the neon sign on a solid wall probably would've been a better idea. The inside job of Parlor Bar looks nice at first glance until you feel the spacing and furniture type and arrangement. It really feels like a sports bar that went through a crash course youtube makeup tutorial.I didn't order any food because I ate before and also didn't think it'd be worth it. I tasted a few of my friends' dishes and yeah, I was right. They taste okay however I don't see how this is elevated bar food or even touches the minimum bar on gourmet food. The condiments for the tacos and burgers like the pickled red onions were a dead giveaway that the food was mediocre. The pickled onions weren't pickled in the right balance of sugar and salt so no surprise that it tasted off. It's not that hard to make good-tasting pickles so if they can't get that right that means the entrees don't slap correctly. Finally, my biggest contention are their craft cocktails. When you're charging $16+ with some drinks at $20, your cocktails better be good. You're saying that you're a craft cocktail bar, bordering mixology magic, and can live up to what you charge. I had the $16 Summer Smoke and it tasted like an average bar's cocktail. Maple syrup overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I would've only paid up to $12 for it.I really don't like this trend of rebranded restaurants and bars that partially renovate their menu and interior then go ahead thinking they can charge full market price as if they really are premier. Tempo Cantina and Kalaveras are other examples in this dining category. It's more fascade than substance.
