Love this place. Coffee tastes great. Only issue is one employee. Fire the tall guy there. He has a really bad attitude. His diva flamboyant antics are extremely unnecessary and rude. Cannot stand ordering when he’s there. Tell him to shape up or get out. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Kelly “Cupcake” Amparan
I ordered their one and only gluten-free item which is banana bread due to an allergy/severe intolerance… They gave me pumpkin bread instead, which is not gluten-free. It made me very sick. I had to go to the doctor because it triggered my asthma immediately I contacted them to inform them of this and they acted like it was no big deal! They do not even have a way for you to get in contact with their corporate office when there’s a major issue such as this! They were very dismissive about their mistake. I will never go here again and anyone who has any food issues or sensitivities I highly recommend you don’t go here either because they don’t seem to understand the concept of the importance of giving something gluten-free when gluten-free is ordered.

UPDATED REVIEW: My cousin and I got the same coffee again and I had low expectations from my last experience BUT it was made to perfection!!! Definitely made me change my mind now that the coffee shop has improved! Happy about the taste and quality and the staff is much quicker with the orders! They definitely redeemed themselves with me (in my opinion). I will be returning soon for coffee again!
My cousin had placed an order on the app for us and when she went there was a long line. She placed the order around 9:15am. The first thing that was ready was our sausage sandwich which wasn’t good. Appearance wise it looked good but after tasting it, it didn’t have any flavor at all. So that was the first disappointment. Then time went by and we get to 9:30 out coffees still weren’t ready.. we went up to ask someone since on the app it tells you who’s making your coffee if by chance it might’ve been ready and they said no they’re working on it. Then 9:45 comes and still the coffee wasn’t ready !!!! Finally at 9:57 almost 10 am we FINALLY GET OUR COFFEE !!!!! I understand they’re new and I feel bad for the workers, but clearly they are NOT READY TO BE OPEN. They need to hire more staff or have someone train them a little more on how to get a system going to have faster service. Finally once tasted the coffee it was sadly gross. Mine had a clump of chocolate syrup at the bottom and when I got home I offered some to my mother, she noticed a clump of what we thought was chocolate in her drink.. then we noticed it wasn’t even chocolate .. it was the COFFEE BEANS !!!
Whole coffee beans in the iced coffee. I probably will not ever be returning, I just hope for the businesses sake they really get it together or I don’t see them lasting at the groves considering how busy the center gets. I’d rather take my business to uptown Whittier and get a local coffee or even to Coffee bean or Starbucks! Sorry but this was a huge let down.

This place is AMAZING!! I LOVEEE coffee and a co-worker recommended me this place and oh man the coffee is delightful. Its so flavorful and so creamy and everlasting in flavor. I keep coming back because it really leaves a happy taste in my mouth. Its a pretty small and quaint place. Super chill and cozy. A great place to study or just read a book or relax. The staff is pretty helpful and the drinks don't take long to come out. One thing that surprised me is that they have you taste your coffee to see if you want any adjustments to it before you fully drink it. I thought that was pretty neat. Something that might or might nor turn people off is there like, small variety of drinks, like their specials. They don't have many options like Starbucks, but it makes it up through their flavors! 10/10 would recommend.

However, as I approached the menu up on the wall, I will say that I was a little confused as to how to order my coffee. The intent is to allow customers to select what they would like in their coffee, but it was just too much work for me. In the end, I ordered a coffee that had about 5 tablespoons of spice, including clove. The cashier asked me what type of sweetener I wanted, which caught me by surprise unfortunately, I selected Stevia, and it was the most disgusting cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Seriously. I paid $7.15 and waited 15 min for coffee that I ultimately discarded. 😐

Whittier location is very challenged. Suuuuper long line. Staff can’t handle the order load. Staff got the order wrong. No espresso machines at all. Crowded and noisy. Waited 25 minutes only to get the order made wrong. Got a refund. Don’t plan on coming back.

Good pricing & positive vibes, very kind to my an my grandmothers good service made our day. After a long trip in traffic. Best Philz location I've been to in awhile. Coffee was really good & honey chai was delicious. 💯🩵💜☕

Stopped by for some coffee after lunch. There was a short line. This is my first time trying Philz coffee, and I heard a lot of good things about this chain. They offered a few coffee options, which is pretty self explanatory. We ordered the honey haze and the mocha treora. The honey haze tasted amazing! It was a little sweet, and it feel refreshing on a hot day. The mocha treora is not my favorite. It tasted a little bitter because of the chocolate flavor.
