This place used to be really nice when it opened, but now the staff seems like theyāre bothered that weāre here ordering. Unfriendly on sat mornings when I go.

Visiting my friends from Korea! Saw this cafĆ© on their SNSānot sure if itās run by Koreans or a Korean company, but they had some items with Korean ingredients. Super interesting. I got a tiger latte and a blueberry sconeāboth were so good!
The name āSmoking Tigerā reminds me of old Korean fairy tales that start with āķøėģ“ ė“ė°° ķ¼ģ°ė ģģ ģā¦ā (Once upon a time, when tigers used to smokeā¦). Itās a quiet and casual spot, perfect for a light snack break š„°

Tried the tiger latte with a salt bread and passion fruit croissant.
Latte wasn't too bitter nor too sweet and a perfect recommendation.
If you're looking for something savory, flaky, with just the right amount of buttery deliciousness the salt bread is for you.
On the other spectrum if you want something more on the sweet side but still full of flaky texture the passion fruit croissant is the way to go. Don't forget to ask for it warmed up at the counter if you're enjoying it in the shop!

Hands down, Smoking Tiger in Whittier is a gem! I stopped by and tried their cafĆ© latte and Spanish latte, and Iām still dreaming about themāseriously, some of the best coffee Iāve ever had in the area. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and just hit all the right spots.
What makes this place stand out is how they weave Korean culture into every detail. From the cozy, thoughtfully designed interior to the playlist that sets the mood, you feel transported. Their menu, with unique offerings like yuzu and misugaru-infused drinks and pastries, is a love letter to Korean heritage. Itās clear theyāre passionate about sharing their roots, and it makes the experience so authentic and memorable.
The staff was super welcoming and genuinely cared about making my visit special. You can tell this young team is all about building community and creating connections. Smoking Tiger isnāt just a coffee shopāitās a vibe, a place where you feel at home and inspired. Iām already planning my next visit and telling all my friends they have to check it out. Keep shining, Smoking Tiger!

Stumbled upon this fantastic Korean cafƩ. We loved the baked items, breakfast sandwich and lattes so much that we came back twice, picking up items to go to bring on our flight back to Vancouver. We'll definitely be coming back when we're in LA!

Really love coming here when I want a good cup of coffee! I've tried a bunch of drinks, but, I always get a banana milk latte. It's one of my favorite flavor combinations. I've never gotten something bad! I got an espresso tonic, which I didn't think I would like, but I ended up loving it and got it a lot during the summer.

My sweet husband treated me to coffee and pastries for my birthday, and it was such a thoughtful surprise! He brought back two lattes: the sweet corn latte, topped with a unique corn foam, and the Tiger latte. The sweet corn latte was surprisingly different, but I found the corn foam paired really well with the coffee's flavors. The Tiger latte, on the other hand, tasted like a classic, regular latteāgood, but nothing too extraordinary. Iām not a coffee connoisseur or daily drinker, so I just go for what tastes good, and both drinks definitely fit the bill!
He also picked up a couple of bread options: a cream cheese garlic bread and a hot dog croissant. Both were delicious and made for a fun treat alongside the coffee. I hope to visit this coffee shop myself sometime soon to try more of their drinks and baked goods.
