My sweet husband treated me to coffee and pastries for my birthday, and it was such a thoughtful surprise! He brought back two lattes: the sweet corn latte, topped with a unique corn foam, and the Tiger latte. The sweet corn latte was surprisingly different, but I found the corn foam paired really well with the coffee's flavors. The Tiger latte, on the other hand, tasted like a classic, regular latte—good, but nothing too extraordinary. I’m not a coffee connoisseur or daily drinker, so I just go for what tastes good, and both drinks definitely fit the bill!
He also picked up a couple of bread options: a cream cheese garlic bread and a hot dog croissant. Both were delicious and made for a fun treat alongside the coffee. I hope to visit this coffee shop myself sometime soon to try more of their drinks and baked goods.

The staff are so helpful and fast with orders. I'm not a coffee drinker but their chai was good. Super chill music vibes and something you wouldn't expect next to an Aldis's.

Matcha not good at all, very dark
Baristas are super knowledgeable and kind. I got the espresso tonic with their light roast espresso and it was so good! Great quality coffee, fun drinks, and it looks like they have some really unique pastries, although I didn't try one. This would be a great place to hang out with friends or come study. If you are looking for korean style coffee drinks as well, they have them here!

Tiger coffee was sweet and easy to drink. Drip coffee wasn’t great - pretty bitter and almost tasted like Chinese herbs.Pastries were fine. The interior was cute and spacious. A decent place to post up for a friendly chat, probably not a go to coffee joint.

We found out about this place watching a MyWhittier video on YouTube this morning while at the parking lot of our bank and I showed this to my husband and we thought to give this place a try since we are close by, and it is local for us too: we took a look around, asked for their recommendations, they have a friendly and knowledgeable staff excellent service, all of those pastries are worth trying. My husband ordered an Iced Coffee, I can't remember which one, I did order the Iced Jeju Matcha Latte with almond milk and a Lemon croissant, we split that one and enjoyed it. They do not accept cash, credit card only and plenty of parking. We enjoyed our purchases like a snack really. We would definitely go to Smoking Tiger Coffee and Bread again, to try all the other pastries and beverages they have to offer, it is worth the try.

Awesome coffee, unlike many coffee shops in Whittier this coffee shop sells good quality coffee and syrups. Their pastries are also as good.

This coffee shop has become a new daily love of mine! The staff are always SO kind and helpful (even when it’s busy!) and the coffee comes out perfect literally every time. I highly recommend the fireplace latte iced (it’s a cardamom and vanilla flavored latte) or the smokin’ Spaniard latte iced! Their “sconkie” pastries are amazing also! The almond or earl grey/lemon is 10/10!! Thank you for the constantly lovely items and service!

Drove in from Chino, birthday treat for my wife.Awesome vibe soon as we walked in the door. Extremely friendly staff. We ordered 3 of the breads: Cream cheese and garlic, Bacon potato and the Ham and cheese.Cream cheese and garlic is an amazing treat. Silky, creamy and the right amount of garlic butter.Bacon potato was a true surprise. Imagine biting into a bun, thinking it’s a loaded baked potato but instead you dive into a potato croquet. A must have. The ham and cheese struck a personal core memory. Ham and cheese, red onions, mustard and bbq sauce with butter brushed over it. Reminded me of picnics with my family. These are the sandwiches my mom made.Highly recommended. Come and enjoy these treats.

Delicious coffee! I’m so glad Whittier finally opened a smaller coffee shop with delicious coffee! Although Im new to this place so I haven’t tried many of their drinks yet, I loved the first one I tried so much I was craving it, so went back the next day. I got the fireplace latte, and for me it was the perfect balance of sweet and coffee. It’s really difficult to find that good balance. Either the lattes are like the ones at Starbucks too milky or too syrupy that you barely feel like you’re drinking coffee, or it’s so strong and almost bitter. In this drink I can taste all the ingredients. The customer service is great too. So far the two times I went the workers were so kind, which is a huge plus especially because nowadays customer service isn’t so good anymore, so I appreciate it when I do get it. I don’t like to regular coffee shops where I feel like a nuisance. In the future I will try their other drinks. But so far so good! I hope more ppl come here because we can really use more of these kinds of cafes around here~ My ONLY complaint which is not even a complaint but more unfortunate for me, is that I wish they opened at 7 instead of 8! I wish I could get a coffee from here for my commute to school, but I leave at 7 so they open too late for me to get it on my way to school which is unfortunate :( but glad it’s not far from me so I can get a coffee whenever I’m going to study~ (:

This is Smoking Tiger's new location in Whittier! They took a small corner next to Aldi, where the only bowling alley used to be. There is plenty of parking here. It's great. The interior is ok with lots of tables. The only thing is the power outlets are only next to the wall, so those spots are very coveted. There is a bathroom in the middle of the place. In the afternoon, the sun gets through the window, so there are some seats by the wall that are affected.I'm a fan of their tonic espresso and matcha drinks. I also like that they have seasonal drinks that don't always make it to the menu. The bartender was hella nice when I visited. He even brought the drink to my table and checked back after a bit!

Best coffee spot in Whittier. Their matcha drinks are really good and what makes this place better than the rest for me are their baked goods. I have not had something I did not like. Their corn mochi and chestnut mochi are so good!
