This place should change its name to “holy cow” because of my God that was a religious experience! The absolute best BBQ in Whittier! Maybe even in all of Southern California! The tri tip sandwich is perfectly cooked, the bread they use is crusty but not tough, the BBQ beans have a great balance of sweet and salty, even the BBQ sauce tastes great! I found Steve’s BBQ in Uptown Whittier through HeyLA, and it totally lived up to the expectations. The ribs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor, exactly what I was hoping for. The place has been around for 24+ years, and you can tell they know what they’re doing.
