Worst experience ever with the cashier Milagros messed up my order and still gives me attitude you guys need to train your cashiers on how to accept they mess up on the order. I had order plain birra tacos and she still repeated the order and added onion/ cilantro she expected my son to eat the tacos the way . She told me for this time she change them. What’s wrong with this lady , food good but customer service 0!

I ordered delivery and it was a nightmare. Because I could not let them know not to drown my food on hot salsa. I called them and thw number registered on the delivery app is for the one at East L.A. ..I spoke with a girl at the East Location and said Whittier branch has No CONTACT NUMBER. SO WITH THIS SAID.. IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL.DIATERY NEEDS AND WOULD LIKE TO ORDER DELIVERY AVOID IT. The prefer if you sent them an email lol(Also they sell you Birria meat in broth in a cup with Carne and I couldn't tell the difference with the "only broth cup" with no carne that my husband got. Paid extra for that? Unlike Downey location).

My bf and I were seized by a birria craving, so we ordered takeout on Doordash. We got a quesadilla, tacos, and a birria cup. Each item was around $4 or less, which seems affordable to me.- Quesadilla was soft, cheesy, and lightly crispy. I think it tasted the best with the juicy shredded beef. It came with lime and radish on the side.- Street tacos consisted of fried tortillas topped with juicy shredded beef and lots of cilantro with onion. It was served with a flavorful red salsa (medium spicy) as well as lime and radish. I would have preferred larger chunks of beef instead of ultra-fine shredded beef.- Birria cup (about 6 oz) was filled with consomme broth and birria beef. It came with two small deep-fried tostadas the same size as the street tacos. The birria cup was good, but plain. I doctored it up with some of my own avocado and sour cream. The flavor of the consomme was okay, maybe a little light on beef and chili pepper. I also would have preferred more variation in the texture of the beef, as it was still extremely fine.

After hearing about these tacos on social media and reading the article from the LA Times of voted these red tacos, the best tacos in LA. I was very excited to try to truck in my neighborhood. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this place fell short. The food was tasty, but nothing that couldn't be made in a stove top slow cooker with the right spices. The service and pricing was on par with other restaurants in the area. I think the place where I was most disappointed was the portion size specifically the burrito. It was literally as big as a dollar burrito from a fast food place, but cost 10 times as much. I understand style of taco means at the top are small but the burrito made me feel ripped off. I rather them charge me more and give me more food. It's not a cheap place to eat. The picture shown here was $30 for three tacos, a burrito and a drink. Given all of the small taco stands, and all of the restaurants in LA, I would say this is definitely not the best taco city as the offer. Still, not bad. The taste was pretty good, but like others that reviewed this place, I would agree the portion size is ridiculously small for the price.

I love this place, but the truck hasn't been out for a while & thats making me sad, I'm hoping it comes back so I don't have to go all the way to Downey for my yummy quesadillas

Ordered a pickup from door dash, they never sent me a text or email confirmation but had no problem charging my card. I go there to pick it up in my name and they don’t even have it ready and then ask me to order and pay for it again. Terrible service, terrible place don’t have an online order option if you have no idea how to use it.

The food here is really delicious, so it makes up for the fact that a homeless lady was going crazy on everyone outside (hence the 1 star). Definitely try the birria here!!!!! They are working on opening a spot next door that's bigger. Parking spots are limited but worth a short walk if you park on the sidewalks.

Was excited to share a great meal with some friends from out of town, only to be treated to incredibly rude service from Ximena at the order window. Not only was she very short with her stand-offish responses, she was just generally unpleasant to interact with.Definitely not recommending their business to any more friends or family.

Update: 5 days later was reimbursed 1/2 of the bill . I had to follow up and call. They are charging for the horchata and I honestly didn't drink it . Never will I recommend or go here to any of the locations . Unprofessional and rude .

Finally tried this place late one night after telling myself I don't know how many times to check it out. The old Weinerschnitzel on Whittier Blvd & Painter is now a taco placeTacos we got were good. A slightly different taste, had more of a soupy flavor to the asada. The corn tortillas on my tacos seemed to have been dipped in some sort of sauce which added more flavor. The only trouble I seemed to have was the communication between myself and the woman taking my order. Seemed to be a little bit of a language barrier, but after several tries she understood.Would I go back to this place. Yes. Like any other restaurant I'll go back if I'm craving their style of food.Give these guys a try and see what you think.
