The slowest most rude service I have ever experienced. The baristas were more interested in their phones than making our order. My young daughter thanked them and they completely ignored her. Never going back.

Very dirty serving area. I pointed it out to the attendees. They laughed. There is dust with dead insects near the food prep areas and the display case. Several months of dust.

Love, love, love The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Have been a solid fan of the company coffee chain for decades and this location has been the closest to me so it has been a special place for me to go. I've turned a lot of people onto CB/CBTL over the years, many of them at this very location. It has been, however, bittersweet over the more recent years. The staff is almost always some the rudest staff by far. I frequent CBTL locations in different cities and counties and no other location has ever made me feel as awful as this one. When someone is friendly yes, it's welcoming. Someone could be quiet and still be efficient and accommodating right? Well, not at this location. There about maybe 3 employees who are decent but the rest overshadow the decent ones. I couldn't easily not visit but again, this is the closest to me, always has been. I've scaled back more recently because I realized I would make a deep sigh upon opening their door. The employees hired oddly come off as annoyed when someone enters. Dare ask a question or not say the right thing and it you can hear it in their tone and see it in their facial expressions at how much of a bother it is for them to serve you. Like how 3 are noticeably acceptable, there are 3 that makes my skin boil seeing them because I know how horrible they come off not just to me but to anyone walking in. Asking for drink ingredients, changing orders, asking for straws or napkins, or asking for the daily changed restroom codes is like pulling teeth. The worst of 3 seem to work the most and work together, 1 is outright the worst of them all. I've witnessed countless uncalled for mistreatment of customers asking innocent questions and being treated so rudely. I've endured the rudeness so much it makes the experience not worth trying. If I hadn't had a love for CBTL for over the years like I have, I certainly wouldn't give a dime or ounce of time to this location.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS LOCATION 0 STARS I WOULD.Honestly was looking forward to getting coffee but they ruined it. I placed an online order and when I arrived, there was nobody inside (8 am). One of my items was a latte with extra foam and some egg bites (the veggie ones). They took about 15-20 min to heat up the food after I got there and to top it off my order was completely wrong !! The coffee had no extra foam, didn’t taste like what I ordered and for some reason when I opened the lid it was OILY ! ? They also gave me bacon egg bites instead of veggie of which I am severely allergic to.These employees need training and corporate needs to supervise this team. If there is nobody in the store there is no reason for them to get the order wrong !

With two hours to closing, the cashiers were saying that the restroom was closed for the night and would not give out the code. I get it if it was 8:50pm but it seemed like they were just lazy and didnt want to clean it again. Had to leave 30 min into studying because of this.

I would give zero stars if I could!!! Very rude staff, especially Cynthia!! She had attitude from the get go!! I wanted a spicy chai and they were out!! Ok I get it!! Do order more inventory next time. But, to be rude and condescending that you will "scan my app" and it won't accept the special, is a different story!! Very very unprofessional and caddy group of girls (bullies) trying to use intimidation and gang to together to all be rude is an absolute abomination!! They should all lose their jobs asap!! I really hope a district manager sees these horrible reviews!! I'm obviously not the only one. But hey, I got "banned " from the store, just like one of the other customers did, for calling them out for being RUDE!!! It's all good, Jose at the Downey store is awesome!! I will drive 20 mins out of my way just for the EXCELLENT customer service and professionalism of all the staff!! This is what it's all about!! So there is my happy ending!! If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and frequent the Downey location!! That's all folks.......

I have been going to Whittier location since they opened. Lately they are out of everything! Straws, whipped cream, vanilla tea for the latte I like! Its been weeks since they had it! Prefer CBTL to Starbucks! But if they don't have the product, have to find someplace else!

Went in this morning for coffee and they failed to let me know prior to ordering that all they had was coins for charge .. when I asked to use my card instead they refused to let me and would not give me my money back .. rudest group of lil girls working .. to top it off they have the nerve to taunt me on my way out .. I'll never go to this coffee bean again they should definitely make better decisions when hiring

So today my girlfriend placed an online order at 6 am i come here and I find that there's not a single soul in sight but I can clearly see that it took her money because her order is up on all the monitors and it says that the coffee bean is open but not a single person is in there. Absolutely ridiculous we just want the money back. It is 6:25 am when I'm leaving and still not a single person is here.

I always went here. I just went with my son who I had been there with before. I ordered him the cookies and cream kid friendly shake. The lady behind the counter was so rude to me making me feel stupid for commenting they are "kid friendly" when she asked if I wanted coffee In them. She gave me weird and rude looks. Then as I am trying to pay which she did not prepare for Apple Pay she said they will be ready in the left. I said ok and went over to wait. Then they told me I needed to pay. Extremely rude and I'll never come to this location again Never ever again. I would literally discribe the attitude as "mean". This was at 330pm on Tuesday the 9th of Jan P.S. interesting enough when I went here and ordered the cookies and cream kid friendly shake I was not rudely asked if I wanted coffee in it and then rudely responded to when I asked about it being on a "kid friendly" section on the menu They also did not like my 5 year old son use the bathroom.
