I was researching places to celebrate my birthday in Whittier and came across The Mission Square. The pictures of the restaurant sold me and I wasn't disappointed. The food was good and service was great. I loved the fresh bread and oil. I ordered the grilled bell peppers and zucchini for an appetizer and made delicious veggie sandwiches out of them. The lobster risotto was delicious and so was their tiramasu. Staff was friendly and attentive. I loved the atmosphere. Such a cute little gem in uptown. I will definitely be back again.

I really liked this place. Stayed across the street at the Doubltree and saw this place. Service was great. Atmosphere was excellent. It was cold tonight, but the patio was amazing. Oh, the food, very tasty. The bread and olive oil were so good. The Cesar was good too. The linguine pescatore was excellent. I will come back when I am in town next.
This place is top tier...from the food to the service! Every staff member we encountered was absolutely delightful. I was with framily for a repass. It was a smart choice to pick this establishment. Fred, the manager, was warm and extremely accommodating.We'll be back for a just because occasion soon! Oh, and they have gluten free pasta. The reason for the poor rating was due to an $100 over charge made by the bartender. We tried to get this resolved and made several attempts to follow up with the owner only to be given the runaround.

On 12/19/23 my friends and I had our Christmas get together. Salad was wilted, the cook thinks we wouldn't catch that with all the dressing over it. Iced tea was watered down, sea bass looked like tilapia, mashed potatoes were runny and had no flavor. The vegetables forsure were heated up from the night before( the 3 of us had the same plate). Customer service was very poor. There was a large table of people that arrived after we had been there, that was it, the server not once came to check on us.. bathrooms were filty, no paper towels. But the house bread and the garlic oil was excellent.
