It is a small place with older tables close together but very fine food they have two other ones. This one probably has the best food it definitely has the fillet steak Benedict the other two do not and I highly recommend the fillet steak Benedict...

To be honest, we were a little surprised that a Brunch restaurant did not offer any type of Mimosa.. they offer mostly coffees and teas. The food was okay, but not really worth the price.

Cute restaurant, nice outdoor seating. Good portions. Strong coffee. LA sales tax compared to lower OC sales tax. Tip calculated before tax though, not sneaky like that.
Ranchero Toast : salsa was ketchupy, Tostitos like. Overpowered the dish, made the toast soggy. Needs to be brighter, like pico de gallo.
Parking lot is kind of unorganized.
Wonderful place! Went here for a date, the chef gave me extra portions and everything was fresh! I love a good presentation on dishes, and they do not disappoint!
Was excited to try this place. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered the ribeye chilaquiles, the food was not hot. The steak was cooked well but the eggs were completely over cooked. For a breakfast place to not cook eggs correctly? Very sad. For the amount you pay everything should taste delicious. My friend ordered eggs Benedict and it was just ok. Very pricey place. Would not recommend.

I have been to Toast plenty of times and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and cooked well. I had the cali fresh toast with two medium well eggs and a side of arugula salad. I always enjoy their arugula salad… yumm! My daughter had the simple breakfast with the hash fries, they are always so good and crispy. My friend had the strawberry cheesecake toast and she loved it as well.

Visiting from NorCal with my daughter who lives in Whittier. First impression awful sitting spot! We (2 very petite women) were placed right by the door inside. I sat on the outside where my chair was constantly bumped. The cleaning cart was trying to get through, it’s like “where am I supposed to go?!” My chest was already pressed against the very tiny table!
The table was wobbly so I asked the waitress who was really rude and had no personalty by the way if she could give me something to place under the table leg. She looked at me like I was an idiot. She did finally bring me a folded up napkin after our drinks were already served. ??♀️ It’s okay I made it work! There were 2 younger women who sat next us starring at us most of time with a mugging facial expression at the beginning and again upon leaving at us, mostly my daughter. (Not really sure what that was about! Especially since the whole time they were there, they were talking garbage about every friend. ?) Food was so bland, absolutely no taste at all, we ordered 2 classics with egg, potato and white toast. They brought 1 sourdough by mistake. Honestly there’s just no excuse to screw up the most easiest basic breakfast! It’s too bad because I would have made this my regular brunch spot during my visits to So Cal, since it’s really close to my daughter’s place. ??♀️

I recently had breakfast at this charming restaurant and had a great experience. While the indoor seating can feel a bit cramped, they have a lovely outdoor area that's quite pleasant and makes up for the tight indoor space.
The food was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the rose latte—it was phenomenal! The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.
Despite the indoor space being a bit snug, the great food, exceptional drinks, and friendly service make this place a worthwhile visit for breakfast or brunch. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely recommend it!

We visited Toast Whittier while in the area because of all the good reviews . There are so many amazing posts and compliments.
First off, there is only one restroom for the restaurant. Wedrove one hour, and I needed the restroom before sitting down to eat, but someone was occupying it for nearly 15mins after we sat down. I couldn't wait, so luckily, KFC across the street was open. Be aware that their restrooms are for paying customers only. So I had to buy something to gain access.
My food came about 5 minutes after I left. My hubby ordered the Chimmy Toast and I the House Benedict. My eggs were overcooked, but everything else on it was fine. My hubby's steak was not bad, except we didn't see any chimichurri sauce anywhere on the plate. Maybe it was marinated with it, but some sauce would have been great.
My second set of eggs were ok, tasted like vinegar, and looked like it was poached in saran wrap. An ok experience, but nothing I would go out of my way for again.

Overcooked eggs and pools of hollandaise sauce. Not too bad otherwise.Update: Decided to give the new location on Whittier boulevard to try after several years. For some reason we replaced and then all white room with no atmosphere and very little attention from staff. The waiter himself was attentive as possible given the busy main dining area however, as this seemed to be a little unfinished annex area it seemed to get zero traffic from other staff. The food was so so and given the lack of atmosphere and full service I think a little too pricey for the experience unfortunately.

Too expensive for okay food. The food taste is not special. The pancakes are stodgy. While not mandatory the tips suggestions go from 15 to 30% when food goes from 11 to 30 dollars per plate. 11 dlls is just the classic pancake.

The food was not great no flavor customer service was great The esthetic of a facility was nice. The best part of this whole place was their napkins so thick and nice. The food is OVER PRICED.
