My cousins and I were craving Peruvian food and wanted to find a spot halfway between us, so we decided to try Tondero and just hope for the best. We were pleasantly surprised! I had the Aji de gallina, which was creamy and flavorful. My husband devoured his Seco de res and said the meat was perfectly tender and juicy. My cousins ordered the Pollo a la brasa and absolutely loved it. To top it all off, we had maracuyá cheesecake and lúcuma ice cream, both delicious and not too...
This is some of the best Peruvian food in Southern California. No joke. They know what they’re doing. Staff is extremely friendly and will work for your business. The food itself, TOP TIER! They just expanded the dining area so it’s more open and customer friendly. Come here if you want some authentic Peruvian cuisine.
We wanted something different and took a chance Tondero Peruvian Cuisine, Whittier. The restaurant was very clean, the food was very flavorful. We had the Calamari Frito, Tallarin Saltado de Carne, Tallarin Verde con Pollo and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, and the service was great. Definitely coming back and highly recommend you try it!
