This recommendation is from Howard E. Daniel (Pen-for-Rent owner): "Five years after Tisza -- pronounced TEE-sa, one of our all-time favorite restaurants -- left its former location in Windsor, my wife and I finally checked out its beautiful new home in Healdsburg. To our delight, we found that Chef Krisztian Karkus and his wife Alena (who has now moved out of the back of the house to charm guests as a friendly, attentive hostess/waitress) have made their restaurant's tastefully appointed new incarnation even better than we remembered it. What makes Tisza special is not just the wonderful food, drink and ambience but the sprinkling of rare (in California Wine Country) offerings on its menu, including mouthwatering Central and East European delights -- schnitzels, goulash, spaetzle, potato dumplings, wild mushrooms and, OH YES!, apple strudel -- reflecting the couple's background (he's Hungarian and she's Czech). While we didn't manage to sample everything that tempted us in this first of what will surely be many return visits, we'd be remiss if we didn't single out for high praise the house-smoked salmon with dill mustard sauce, pickled mustard seed and crème fraiche served over potato latkes. We think this fabulous starter might be more aptly named "salmon ambrosia." (If anyone can transform a fish into food for the gods, Krisztian's your guy!) So if your taste buds are hankering for something a little different, Tisza is the place to take them for a real treat."
Amazing fries, great service and pleasant atmosphere! I will be back!

This is more of a bar atmosphere and yhe men are definitely there to gawk at the women and the women are definitely there to be seen. It's a fun bar atmosphere for a girl's night out, but not necessarily a date night atmosphere unless the clyb/bar scene is your thing. The bartender was having issues. I watched the table behind me send 6 drinks back, so that was enough for me to know that wasn't the place for me and my money. The food isn't even average, it's just ok.

Loved this resturant when it was in Windsor and was excited to try it at its new location in Healdsburg. Took my wife there last night. They seated us directly in front of kitchen/servery area. Within two minutes waiters and support staff bumped into our table several times. They bumped my chair twice. It was painfully obvious this table and two others in the resturant did not belong in the middle of staffs work area. Having resturant staff flying by you, at very close proximity, every 20 seconds is NOT creating a comfortable environment. I understand the need for a business to make money but this was completely unacceptable. We left and had an amazing, quiet, meal at Baci's.
This is one of the best HI hotels I ever stayed This is one of the best HI hotels I ever stayed Modern design, great customer service from check in to check out, they recognized my status immediately and employees always are smiling. And the more important thing VERY CLEAN from out side to inside and room Nice parking, convince store, business center, guess laundry, bar and grill on site Also expending and ice machine in the floor Definitely is my hotel when I travel to this area. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Windsor Wine Country for a weekend getaway with my family. The hotel is brand new and has a nice location close to wineries and the 101 highway. The check-in process was smooth and flexible, and the staff was friendly and helpful. So far so good. However, things went downhill from there. The pool was not heated adequately, so we felt like we were swimming in ice water. The rooms were very crammed, with barely enough space for our luggage and belongings. There were no EV chargers in the parking lot, which was inconvenient for us since we drove an electric car. There was no free breakfast included in our rate, which I found surprising for a Holiday Inn. And worst of all, the wifi didn’t work at all during our stay, which made it impossible to check our emails or stream anything online. To top it all off, the faucet in the shower sprayed water everywhere when it was turned on, wasting a lot of water. Unacceptable in an area prone to drought. It felt like they didn’t care about the environment at all. Overall, I expected more from a new hotel that claims to offer contemporary design and amenities. It felt like they cut corners on some important features that would make guests comfortable and happy. I hope they improve their service and facilities soon, otherwise I don’t think I would stay here again.
This place is magnificent. Amazing food, awesome happy hour and great staff. I normally only come for happy hour because it's a good deal, the truffle fries are a go to and so are the chicken wings. All the food is fresh and cooked just right. The staff is the icing on the cake, bartenders and servers are all welcoming and the owner is considerate and professional.
We are Platinum IHG members. We know what to expect when staying at a HI. It isn't luxury, but for the most part they are clean and all the same. This particular HI was clean, I'll give them that, and I do appreciate the cleanliness. However, it is very clear they are short staffed. We stood at the desk for 5+ minutes each time and had to use the lobby phone to find a worker. Our remote stopped working and they couldn't bring us another one, we had to come grab it. Not huge deals, but something that managers/owners should note. The biggest issue was broken items. Aside from the remote, the mini fridge went out on our 2nd day and everything inside spoiled. The makeup mirror on the bathroom wall was completely broken and propped up against the wall. The bathroom door had to remain open because the opening and shutting creating a super loud screeching noise. The AC would only blow if there was room movement, so at night it stopped blowing all together and the room heated up. Lastly, the bed was miserable. The foot of the mattress was visibly higher than the head and you roll into the center of the mattress upon laying down. Definitely needs replacing. The location was convenient but overall it needs some work and more employees on staff.
Great customer service and the food was delicious.I had the shrimp tacos and my husband had the New York steak dinner. We were both very impressed with our food, drinks and drinks. Can't wait to go back for their Happy Hour. The margaritas we ordered were over the top delicious.

Blown away by the food! Service is top notch. Check out the happy hour menu. Very pleased with my experience.
There are zero amenities here. I paid over $400 including taxes and fees and I literally just got a bed and a tv. The “restaurant” is closed, the shop near the front desk that ordinarily has drinks and snacks for sale is empty, and even the vending machines on my floor are completely empty. Ok, so I thought I’d just relax in my room with my wine and a nice bath. There are no glasses in my room, no hand towels and no washcloths. No shampoo either. Ok, so I’ll go for a relaxing dip in the pool. I call the front desk to inquire about the location and hours of the pool. No one answered. I wandered downstairs and when I found the pool, it was filled with dead bugs. Clearly not being maintained. All of this is excusable if I had paid $150 for a motel. What the heck did I pay $400 for?
Stopped here for 1 night, you paid for a no frills experience, comfortable bed, good breakfast, staff were great, my friend is disabled so they offered to carry her suitcase and arranged the dining room table so she could sit comfortably. Due to covid we had paper cups and stir sticks on the tea tray not a good look. But overall we had a good stay
Visiting as out and about that area looking for new boat’s. Price was good for one night, staff friendly and rooms basic but clean. Breakfast good with Covid restrictions being followed. Walked to Windsor castle from hotel. Would return to this hotel
Traveling on a stay-cation in NorCal and stayed at 3 IGH properties in a row. I have the other two to compare but I also am a prof. meeting planner and stay at a ton of hotels. I even inspect them for a living, so my perspective is with a critical eye. The entrance is a bit tricky even though I arrived after dark, making any signage even less effective. Once in the open-air parking garage, there was no "Entrance" sign over the doors nor an exterior logo'd rug. There is a foyer with the ONLY hand sanitizer station that I was able to find! Morgan greeted us at the front desk and was a real delight and he alone made this stay worthy of the 3 stars! Here are my observations upon arrival: *Of the 4 pendant lights over the front desk, 3 worked *The small marketplace was out of bottled water - NONE in the entire hotel! *No dining option and ONLY coffee to go in the morning; NO danish, fruit or granola bars to be found! *Morgan was working alone with a 63% occupancy, There are 4 floors. My room was on the 3rd with a view of a goat farm. It was a quiet room however; the mattress was quite soft and mushy. Upon unpacking, we found the following problems: *A dirty bath towel and a used face mask in the closet floor. *The safe was locked, we were provided the "master" code to unlock it! *No washcloths *Used bath amenities Causing me to realize that no Covid-19 protocol is being adhered too. My opinion is the owner is micro-managing this property and placing profits over his franchise obligations! This is a Holiday Inn, not a Holiday Inn Express, so the expectations of a full-service property were warranted.
