The food at Il Fornaio in Woodland Hills was delicious! I had the grilled salmon which came with sautéed spinach and crispy potatoes. The fish was cooked to perfection and had a little smokey flavor. Everything was nicely seasoned. Everyone from the Hostess to the Servers were lovely and accommodating. I will absolutely go back when I'm the area!

Excellent Easter late lunch dining experience. Service was fantastic. Rebecca was very personable and timely with ordering and spacing the entrees. The food was delicious. Thank Il Fornaio for a nice afternoon.

Went for my husband's birthday. Service was amazing. The food came out so quickly -- I actually think it was less than 5 minutes. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the Pastacini, caprese, cristina pizza, tuna tartare, and rigatoni alla vodka (pics attached). Our favorites were the pastacini and rigatoni alla vodka. Pastacini was fried perfectly and paired very well with the Marinara. Their marinara tastes similar to Raos, which we love. The rigatoni is cooked al dente and comes with a very creamy sauce. Sauce could be a tad bit more tomatoey (personal preference) but the pancetta makes it super rich and flavorful nonetheless. The olive oil on the caprese was delicious but I wish they cut larger, round slices of the tomatoes. Tomatoes could have been fresher in my opinion. The Cristina pizza was really good. The truffle oil really elevates it, but I felt it needed something to balance out the saltiness from the prosciutto. Maybe adding some hot honey would've made it better. Still good though, just wasn't blown away. Overall, I love the ambience, service, and food here. I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5.

Fantastic food and service. It was not very crowded or loud for a Friday night. The portions were large but done to perfection

Consistently good, authentic food. Music could be improved. I don't enjoy the top 40 or whatever they are usually playing. At least it's not Frank Sinatra. I just don't enjoy music in restaurants. I think it's very unnecessary and tacky. Also the mall pumps music outside and so does Joey's so, if you are on the patio, you feel schizophrenic. Not fun.

We had an amazing experience, from the beginning to the end. The hostess was welcoming and accommodated my request to change tables, service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

food food was very good, have dined there before and will dine there again. Main issue was that the after eating our appetizers the main course was sent to the table too quickly, there should be time allowed for conversation and digestion

Excellent variety. When in doubt I do a walkabout and see what others are eating. Thin crust Pizzas and fried Calamari on half the tables. The salad portions are large enough to be an entree or shared. The Ceasar dressing is delish. No skimping on the shaved parmesan. The beet salad very good. The Chicken with Mushroom sauce (Pollo de Funghi) was moist and flavorful. Served with mashed potato and asparagus. I'd order that again. Ask for extra sauce. The Linguini with shellfish looked great and was gobbled up. You know something is good when the person doesn't look up, or talk and focuses on eating! Ravioli stuffed with short rib -YUM! Pasta with Vodka sauce - not a peep from our home chef while he savored this dish. Six of us were all very satisfied. Reuben was a superb waiter. It was the 94th Bday for the family matriarch. We brought our own cake and they charged us $4 per person to eat it (like a corkage fee). Their desserts were around $12-$15 each- $9 for a scoop of Gelato. We ordered Cappuccinos. Overall, great experience. We had reservation for 6:15pm and the place was packed by 7:30pm. Valet parking the easiest. Next time we will do lunch and order that pizza.

Me and my friend tried Il Fornaio for the first time and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the service was even better. We ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and branzino al limone and they were both delicious. Our server Rebecca took such great care of us. Even before we asked for something, she already knew what we needed! Our experience was perfect and I will definitely be coming back here.

My fiancé and I booked this restaurant for a last minute reservation. We knew about the Beverly Hills one and was intrigued. I checked out the reviews and the ones that talk about slow service are the most accurate. We went a bit later in the night and it wasn't busy (we were the only ones in our section). Our waiter asked if we wanted water and we said yes and then he said he would be right back before we could even tell him what we wanted to drink. 10 minutes later, he comes back with our waters, and then says he'll be back again and goes to sit down at a table directly in front of us to fold napkins and talk to his female coworkers. After about 10 minutes and staring at the back of his head, my fiancé decided to get up and tell him that we were ready to order again the restaurant wasn't busy at all. He came over like it hadn't been 10 minutes and proceeded to take our order. At that point we decided to put everything in. That little instance alone was enough to set the standard for our service for the rest of the meal. The food wasn't mind blowing or out of this world that I just have to have. It reminded me of Maggiano's. The decor and inside of the restaurant is super cute though and the margarita Italiano was actually pretty good if I ever did decide to come here I would definitely just sit at the bar.Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free options!

Food is good, not great. But for what they charge and the venue decor, the service was grossly lacking. I won't go into detail about our many issues with the staff but I would not eat here again if given the choice.

This is an upscale restaurant with low level customer service. We made reservations for a 57th birthday celebration. We showed up 10 minutes early. Only to watch multiple parties seated before us. We left and went to another restaurant. Too bad..the staff should have reached out and communicated the issues.

The inside of this restaurant is very charming! This is definitely a good spot to enjoy a semi-formal dinner. My girlfriend ordered the Fusolini pasta and it was really good. I ordered the Rigatoni/Vodka pasta and it was fantastic. The flavor profile was amazing and they even put little bits of bacon in it. They even offer a gluten free option which I opted for. It was even further enhanced when they brought out the fresh cheese and grated it onto the pasta dish. Our server was super nice and our food came out very quickly. The prices were pretty reasonable too. This place would easily earn itself 5 starts if it weren't for the pizza. We also ordered a Margherita pizza and to say the least we were very disappointed. It was nothing at all like the Margherita pizza we're used to having at other spots, I've had better pizza from a food truck. I'm not even trying to be funny it tasted exactly like a Chuck-E-Cheese Pizza. If you're a fan of pasta we definitely recommend this place, just don't expect much from their pizza.
