Please do not eat from here. I usually do not do reviews. But this place shocked me. This place should be investigated, I’m not sure how they are “halal” and claim to be an “Afghan” Restaraunt.

They had packaged a completely burnt chapli kabob, which I was shocked.

The Shah Burger, was completely uncooked from the inside, absolute raw beef.

I called the Restaraunt. The lady did not apologize, or care to investigate. This is a disappointment.

I would never order or recommend this place,
Especially for my Halal eater.

Today I visited Dumpokht and ordered their Lunch deal , that was awesome and the price is very reasonable just 11.99.

Horrible food, horrible service, the meat is dry & hard as a rock, rice is salty, overcharged for fries we never received, employees are incredibly nasty & rude! Tried giving feral cats some & they refused the food, this place does not sell Afghan food, it is a shame & embarrassment to afghans for this owner to call themselves an Afghan restaurant.

The food was terrible, it was so bad not even the feral cats would touch it, the meat is so dry & hard, rice is saltier than the sea, they’ll overcharge you for items you won’t receive, employees are nasty with terrible attitudes their physically hard to look at & they’ll talk about you in different language thinking you won’t understand them. You’re better off eating gas station food then this place

Absolutely fantastic, incredibly affordable. They straight feed you here. Got the bolani and the spinach and Afghan fries and had plenty to take home with us.

Disappointed-First time customer - Thursday 4/23 7pm- received NO Greeting No Welcoming from girl at front -just asked to Wait a second- ordered eggplant dish (bonjon burani) advised 10 min cook time-stepped outside for 12 mins-came back to register and was asked by same girl “is there something you Need?” as if she didn’t state my order would take 10 mins??? I was then told it will be Another 15 mins, although only 1 table is occupied so they are NOT busy, respectfully. Get home and see maybe three scoops of food not as pictured on menu or as described by girl at register/2 child size pieces of thick bread. I called, same girl who took order says “we’re sorry you’re not satisfied, this isn’t sautéed with jalapeño.” Although she told me different when placing order. No offer to redo?! Or let me see what we can do about that?! no offer for refund or would you like something else?! Simply Emotionless/Robotic/Un-empathetic. As a restaurant owner myself, the lack of customer service from beginning was red flag I ignored. If they wanted to make someone feel like they shouldn’t come back or that they wasted time and money, they were successful. Thank You

Stopped in for early dinner. My family is small, just my husband my toddler and me, so we got a family size Shah Fries, a bolani, and a side of sabzi. The food was delicious, I loved the green chutney and in my opinion you can't go wrong with food on top of fries. I lived spooning some of the sabzi in the pieces of bolani. The portions were huge and we left stuffed with leftovers to take home. Everyone was so nice and attentive and the place looked very nice inside as well.

First time trying to place out, flavor and presentation of the food was very good. Only complaint I would have is that for $16 I would think that there is more meat. This wrap lacked in protein

Great quality food and a nice change of pace from the usual Mexican/American/Asian food that fills most of woodland. Skewer plates with rice and the green sauce are tasty as well as the shah fries with fresh jalapenos.

We had a wonderful experience at Shah Restaurant in Woodland. We tried the mantu, samosas, and bolani, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The mantu was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, the samosas were crispy and well-seasoned, and the bolani was fresh, savory, and comforting. You can really taste the care and authenticity in the food.

In addition, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for flavorful, homemade-style Afghan cuisine with great customer service. We will definitely be back!

House of Shah did an amazing job catering an 80 person dinner at our home. The food was outstanding - fresh, flavorful, plentiful and just simply delicious. Sal was wonderful to work with - from the first email contacting him, to delivery and set up of the food, he made the whole event easy and successful. We recommend House of Shah to anyone for a catered event. Our experiences eating in and taking out from the restaurant have always been wonderful as well!
