This is a small roadside bar selling good burgers, fries and tacos. Casual and has a great backyard with an outdoor stage and picnic tables. On the weekend lots of bikers. During the week farmers place to go.
My fiance and I are from Sacramento, Plainfield is about 30-40 minutes away. We are both total foodies and my fiance is a local and well respected chef in Sacramento. My friend who lives in Woodland has been telling us about this place for some time now, So we went to plainfield to see how it was. We are a mixed race couple and we don't usually frequent bars in the middle of country farmland. I must admit we were hesitant when we drove-up. We walked in and the bar-tender Ashley was super awesome and made us feel very comfortable as if we were regular guests. The locals who were there were really amazing and friendly also. We had a few draft beers, played some pool and had some amazing garlic fries. We also had two of the BEST BURGERS we have had in years! Like I said, my fiance is a chef and she knows quality. We both agree that their burgers are better than any restaurant we have EVER been to in Sacramento! We wanna go back again for sure. In conclusion, get yourself out to Plainfield, you will be happy you did!
Took the Dorr family to Plainfield Station for the first time. It is definitely their kind of spot (and ours). Perfect dive bar atmosphere, but out in the farmlands near Davis and Woodland. Burgers and Patty Melts are fantastic and prepared to order by Pete the owner. We've been going for years and will be back when we need our hamburger fix.
We're here about once a month. Great service, friendly. Offers a wide variety of grill food. Burgers of every type, Philly cheese steak, Tri tip, fish and chips. Well you know.
Went here with my son who now lives just a few miles from here. It's one of those 'middle of nowhere' joints that is fun... AND I'd say worth the few miles off I 505 if you are hungry for a really good burger seared on a super hot grill - or other bar food and fries while traveling. Lots of beer choices too! It will give you an authentic feel for this rich agricultural area too! Enjoy!
Plainfield station is a great pit stop for a great burger. They have a reputation as a "biker bar" and that may be true in the evening hours, but I always enjoy a lunch stop for a burger. My only complaint is that they only take cash.
Great, hand made, cooked to your taste patties for one of the best burgers in town. Worth going, despite the reviews in Davis wiki, but definitely a different place than the rest of the town. Rednecks, bikers, country people and a good time!
