We had a delicious dinner at Firehouse Bistro. Started with the Cesar salad and the beef carpaccio which were both tasty. Then onto the entrees which were the filet mignon and the Italian seafood stew. Really enjoyed them both. The filet was very tender and the mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach really complemented the filet. The stew had very fresh seafood and the sauce had a nice kick to it. There could have been a bit more seafood in it, but the taste and freshness of the fish made up for the small portion. 'The service unfortunately was lacking....very rushed especially at the beginning. The waiter seemed in a hurry as he took our order then was walking away before we knew it and we had to stop him as we wanted some wine. He never check on us again even after we were eating our entrees and I could have had another glass of wine if he checked on us to see how our meal was. We noticed he did with the tables on either side of us. Had to ask for water refills too from the busboy. The dessert menus were plopped on the table instead of handed to us each. We tried to joke a bit with him, but no interaction on his part. We felt the service should have been much more professional and much more attentive especially when we paid over $100 each, Will we return? We would for the food, but not for the service received so probably not which is too bad.
It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer, which was described as having mango, wasabi, and other flavors, but it ended up being pretty bland. I ordered the filet mignon and it seemed like it had been frozen. The place itself had a cool vibe, so maybe it was just an off day, but the long wait and the food were disappointing.
Our food was delicious and the place is quaint, sort of a hidden gem! There are a couple of other, pretty pricey restaurants in the area within walking distance, but people should definitely give this one a try.
Great food, great service and very quiet atmosphere. perfect

Dinner was fine. Set price was $120 per person on Xmas Eve, not worth it. The brunette woman server/bartender was very rude and curt. Will probably go back unless I see that same woman server.

Our food was delicious. We both had fish and they were both really very tasty. We will definitely go back.
Dish restaurant has been around for quite a long time. Unfortunately, when you walk in it seems dated and old. The good part is it's in a cool area and the food wasn't bad. The service was disjointed and it definitely needs a refresh. I went there when I couldn't get an OpenTable anywhere close by in less than an hour. I was with a group of three and we were able to walk in and get seated immediately. This might be a locals place. Definitely not a destination or date night. If you're in the area, I will repeat the food is decent but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there

Walked in on a Saturday night and were able to be quickly seated. Tried their scallops and burger. Scallops were gently prepared accompanied by mashed potatoes and al dente vegetables. The burger was grilled as ordered and came a generous portion of french fries. They have a good selection of wines. I opted for their Pinot Grigio which was bright with hints of apple. Really enjoyed our experience here. We were lucky to be seated without a reservation. Will return.

It is one of the most enjoyable restaurants we have been to on my 80 years on earth. Food : Perfect. Staff: Super friendly. Recommend everyone come and enjoy a real jewel in Woodside.
Service with Angela always good. The kitchen quality is sliding a bit in this beloved establishment.

Excellent evening at firehouse bistro, as always. But please don't go there, I'd like to keep it to myself. Lol
Service was very attentive. Food was excellent. Enjoyed mussels as a starter which were delicious. The main dish of pan seared scallops were done perfectly. My wife enjoyed her dish of seafood risotto. Desert of mixed fresh berries in cream sauce was perfect complement to the meal.
Another spectacular meal at Firehouse Bistro. We have eaten here several times and have been impressed every time! Our server's recommendations were spot on—mussels and tuna tartar starters were delicious and the rack of lamb, sea bass and burger were exceptional. The special petrale sole was a treat as well, and we finished the meal with a bread pudding and apple crisp that satisfied our collective sweet tooth beautifully. Highly recommend.
We arrived around 8 PM. The restaurant was very quiet. The service was amazing. There were others there. The food when it came, I ordered the special fish for the day and it came with rice. The rice was cooked differently than I expected but the combination of the two flavors was good! The bread was already drizzled with olive oil. The waiter was very attentive and overall it was a great experience. The other order was pork, the portions are generous!
Great location in the heart of Woodside-food was very tasty and our server Felipe was warm and attentive. Old firehouse vibe with local art-we had the salmon and the pork chop and will come back again!
