There was a dude posted up with a full on work setup... Get an office my guy. The staff should kick these Wi-Fi moochers to the curb so folks actually enjoying being out in the world can appreciate the spaces. That said, every time I've been here I never can get a seat, as they are all taken.
4/5 stars for the food by averaging since the espresso was 3/5 and the pastries are 5/5.

A solid, reliable spot that does what it does reasonably well.

The food is serviceable but unremarkable—perfectly fine, just nothing that really stands out or lingers in memory. Service is much the same: competent, pleasant enough, but not especially attentive or memorable. Parking can also be a bit frustrating, especially at busy times.

That said, we keep coming back for one simple reason: it’s a convenient halfway point between the North Bay and South Bay. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and have long, unhurried conversations with friends you don’t see often—and in that role, it works quite well.

Bottom line:
Not a destination restaurant, but a comfortable, dependable meeting place with a mellow vibe. Three stars feels about right.

I love the Village Bakery and Cafe. I go as much as I can. Food is always great and the service is perfect.

Excellent service and ambience. For both breakfast and lunch I have found the food to be good and portions are filling. Parking can be difficult during peak times, arrive early to get parking as you may have to wait for a spot to open up.

We stopped only for beer after a bike ride. Beer was good, calamari and french fries also.

We ordered the matcha latte, hot chocolate, mocha and chai tea latte. The matcha was undrinkable. When we asked the barista about the match they stated “Our matcha is always really bitter.” The hot chocolate was literally hot milk with chocolate seasoning, it was awful. The other drinks were average at best. We binned the matcha and hot coco. The gluten lemon poppy seed loaf slice was tasty as well as the chocolate chip cookie. Don’t come for the drinks. Pastries will do.

I'm so impressed with this little place.
Super friendly staff, and the best gluten free brownie I've ever had in my life.

Great variety of food however service can be better: a smile and eye contact helps

GOOD LUCK FINDING PARKING. Came here for the viral giant marshmallow from TikTok. Ordered a hot chocolate to go with it, as well as a ham and cheese croissant.

The hot chocolate was not good. It tasted extremely watered down and the marshmallow was just that—a giant marshmallow that wasn't anything special because of the terrible hot chocolate. I didn't finish it.

The ham and cheese croissant had close to no cheese inside and just one piece of thicker cut ham. I liked the ham but my cheese? Nowhere to be found! The croissant itself was buttery and flaky in the best way, but I was surprised to find that the cheese inside was just a tiny piece, hardened to the point that no amount of reheating could revive it.

Not to mention their ordering system between food and drinks is completely unorganized. You'll get your drink first and then you don't know when you'll get your food and which area you'll receive it in. Service could have been a bit friendlier too.

Don't come here

Nice place and atmosphere. Food presentation & service are very nice, however, the food lacks flavor, and I’m here to eat … not see … therefore I highly doubt returning. Unfortunately.
