Solid food overall. The cod and the duck dish were our favorites of the night. The pacing between courses could be better though. We felt rushed for the majority of the meal - servers were too quick to clear our plates and bring on the next course.

Had a great dinner here with a group of friends. The prix fixe menu is a 3-course meal with several options to choose from during each course. It's a bit pricy ($130/each) but well worth it and we all left feeling stuffed! Highly recommend this place and looking forward to coming back!

Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Music was perfect. Service was spot on -- everyone that helped us was professional. We had great recommendations from the sommelier for our party of 4. He matched a dessert wine with each of our 4 different desserts. Yummy! Very special evening.

Excellent food and service. Our server suggested wonderful drink pairings, was very knowledgeable.

Wonderful place to dine. Very elegant and the staff is very attentive. The price fixed dinner is a bit expensive for everyday dining. Nice for special occasions

We were outside and there wasn't enough heaters around our table... the restaurant should have more heaters or some blankets (to cover our laps, at least) available to the guests in winter time. Other than that service, food and ambience were great!

It was a nice and fun lunch with my Bestie for her birthday. They even gave her a small cake! Thank you Village Pub!

Great dinner and service, as usual. The sommelier was outstanding in handling our personal wines.

Overall, three stars is honestly generous for a place with a Michelin star. The restaurant itself is lovely; great vibe, warm lighting, and the perfect cosy feel for a late-autumn evening. Sadly, the experience went downhill from there, especially for two Brits used to the European interpretation of what a Michelin star actually means. We got a text ten minutes before our reservation saying the table was ready. We arrived all of three minutes “late”, only to find... the table wasn't ready at all. So we stood in the doorway for five minutes, no apology, no welcome drink, nothing. Not the end of the world, but it did set the tone. The menu looked fine, but nothing jumped out or felt exciting — not something you expect to say in a one-star restaurant. And despite flagging the dietary restrictions (coeliac + vegetarian) at the time of booking, no special menu was prepared. The waiter knew about it but still chose to guess what might be gluten-free or vegetarian instead of checking first, which resulted in the classic “well... there's a salad.” I'm not going to a Michelin-star restaurant to eat a salad as my main option. Every other Michelin place we've been to has walked us through what's safe the moment the menus hit the table. The saving grace of the entire evening was the sommelier. He was knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely fun to chat to. We didn't do a pairing, but his wine recommendations were spot-on and really the highlight of the night. Without him, the experience would have been far weaker. The food, however, missed the mark. Portions were small for a fixed three-course menu. My partner's duck dish didn't come with any carbohydrates at all, and while the individual elements on each plate had great flavour, they didn't work together. Everything was competing rather than complementing. For example, the fruit served with the duck was delicious on its own but completely overwhelmed both the duck and the fennel when eaten together. I genuinely don't think we'd have

Lovely dinner! I ordered the cod and it was so delicious. Service always top notch. Don't miss the beignets. Very elegant and delicious food.

Amazing food, perfect service, only reason we're putting 3/4 on the value is because the dessert were a little less remarkable than the rest. Overall, it was a great experience!

Food was an A+ and the service was even better. One of the finest restaurant experiences in Northern California if not the entire country.

We were so disappointed with this visit. The Village Pub is where we celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions. This visit was nowhere near the standard to which we have grown accustomed. The appetizer choices were weird and not good at all. I had the mushroom tartlet which was terrible; the mushrooms were raw with this weird cold mousse in the middle and the crust was very dry and crumbly. Our daughter had the veloute, which she did not care for at all. none of us were very excited about the starter menu. Same with the entree menu, I didn't really want any of the offered entrees so I had the pasta with the truffles, which was delicious. But I was hoping for a nice filet. Of course the souffle saved the meal, as they are always spectacular, but overall I would give it a 6/10.

I took my niece here to celebrate her birthday, and it was an exceptional experience. The prefixe menu was diverse and beautiful, with rich and delicate flavors. Every course was visually stunning. The sommelier was incredibly helpful in his recommendations and we had a very reasonable and delicious bottle of Bordeaux. But the thing that I absolutely must comment on was the superior level of service. We were so well taken care of and every staff member was incredibly friendly and considerate and made us feel very special. A really memorable evening. Expensive, yes, but for a special occasion, it was worth every penny.
