Casually stopped by after a long hike for some beverages and snacks. Good service and decent food offerings. Great atmosphere overall and good selection of adult beverages.
Blah everything
Best Burger I've had in a LONG time. I can't really say more, but it was juicy, the fried onions were flavorful and the sauce, it was perfect. They use tallow for their fries. If you have kids they can choose something here or in the cafeteria next door. I also thought the prices were not bad, especially for the portions. The salad looked amazing! I'd eat here again. We tried all the restaurants in Curry village and they were all pretty good, this burger was my fav. The pizza, which can feed an army, that was also amazing next door.
Surprisingly good food! I had the shrimp tempura with grilled cabbage and I'm going to try and recreate it at home. Waiter was friendly and service was good. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen, but that's what I expected given the location. Curry Village is the busiest area of the park from my experience.
One of the restaurants in Yosemite Curry Village. The restaurant is located next to the Pizza Deck. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. I was there on a weekday for dinner and the wait was not too bad. The smash burger and fries tasted good. The restaurant was clean and bright inside.
We had a wonderful time at Bar 1899. Curry Village truly has the best food in the Valley. We ordered cheeseburger, shrimp tempura, and chicken wings. They were all excellent, well-cooked with nice textures and flavor profiles. I would absolutely try the chicken salad next time.
Surprisingly good food for being in the middle of a national park. Good selection of beer. Kind staff but long wait times for the food.
I just got the fries tbh, but they were good, good portions.
We wanted a hamburger 🍔 and were not disappointed. We had the Double Smash Burger with fries and it was amazing. We don't drink so we had a soda. Ate on the outside deck taking in the view of Half Dome and Glacier Point. Loved the great experience 👍

I have a bad experience with one of the servants, he was talking in a very rude way to us and once we told his manager he came back to us and telling us are you serious and started shouting on our face , and that’s not acceptable at all

Beer is great, running out of food options, which is a joke given that there are 100s of visitors each day. Poor planning of government directed services, Where is the brilliant management?

Cold food, server was terrible.
I ordered a kids burger to go for my daughter after a hike. Waited 20 minutes outside and decided to come in to wait. A waiter with long hair and a bandana tells me I can't sit at the table, I'm puzzled at why he is trying to deny me service. I start asking him about my order, after he realizes I already ordered he says I can sit there - but it's puzzling why his first reaction is to try to kick me out rather than even ask if I wanted to order as a first reaction. Seems very strange for someone who is supposed to be a waiter.
When I do ask him how much longer would it take for my burger he tells me 30 minutes, and that my order is last on his queue. I already waited 20 minutes so I was shocked I was last in the queue. So I asked him if he was sure since I ordered so long ago, the water goes off saying 30 minutes is going to be pretty standard out here. I wasn't anticipating 50 minutes for a burger since my daughter was hungry so I left at that point to go find her some snacks from the general store.
Once I walked outside 3 minutes later the buzzer goes off. I go back in to get the burger and make a joke "that was a quick 30 minutes". The waiter just dead pans me and doubles down that he meant 30 minutes from the start, uh huh... Not sure how my order "last in queue" showed up right after he told me 30 minutes, just say you read the queue wrong.
By the way my daughter ate the burger right away but it was room temp and dry so not sure how it could have taken so long and still not be warm when we went to get it.
At least when we first ordered the bartender was nice. He put a cherry on top of the whipped cream for my daughter's hot chocolate to try to make it special for her.

Best food we had in Yosemite Valley. Among us we had the smash burger, the Belgian waffles, and the special Thai chicken sandwich. All were delicious!

What a waste. Burger was bland, the only thing I could taste was the onions. Fries were below average.
Service was terrible. The bartender (who also takes orders) could not take my order without interrupting me 3 times to talk to his colleague about something he saw on his phone.
Later I have heard another bartender providing a very different, positive service to another customer. That makes me think this is not a general issue.
Regardless of that, no good service could make up for the food.
