I highly do not recommend this place. The food tastes decently good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. However, several issues occurred during our dining experience which I will list below, and are the reasons why I will not be visiting again.

1) 3 members of our table ordered the French onion soup. Several minutes later, we were told that the kitchen had run out, and offered other options. This is fine, but the issue comes about from the fact that a separate table (which sat after us) received an order of French Onion soup roughly 20 minutes after we received our entrees.

2) It took over an hour for our table to receive our entrees. One meal was brought over 10 minutes before the others. My father, whose lifelong dream was to visit Yosemite, received a cold $40 Wagyu burger.

3) I was told that the kitchen was out of potatoes, 40 minutes after I had ordered my entree. I didn’t have the menu at this point and had to pick a substitute.

Overall, this was a pretty awful experience. My father has wanted to come to Yosemite for his entire life, and during our week long, once in a lifetime trip, we had only one sit down dinner reservation, which was this. Thank you, Mountain Room, for a truly unforgettable experience that my family will bring up for years to come.

We ate here twice while visiting the park and would come back time and time again! It's is so important to make reservations in advance even in the off season because this place always books up. Get the lamb, it's amazing!!!

We had a wonderful dinner here. We both got the filet mignon and it was tender and delicious. It's a beautiful dining room. Felt cozy and warm inside (it was in the 40's outside).

Service was great. Didn't wait long for the food to be served. Highly recommend making a reservation.

We had a great dining experience at The Mountain Room, and our server, Eric S., was exceptional. His attentiveness and warm service added a lot to our evening. We ordered the filet mignon, a burger, the soup of the day (tomato basil), and French onion soup. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak, cooked to perfection, and all the flavors were on point. The soups were great. The burger was just what my husband wanted after a full day of hiking.

Though it was dark outside and I couldn’t speak to the view, the atmosphere inside was inviting. I noticed some reviews are critical of the restaurant, but it’s important to remember that, given the remote location, they likely face challenges with deliveries and staffing. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a satisfying meal in a beautiful setting!

We often eat at fine dinning restaurants and we were not overly please with this restaurant, especially for the price. Our server was nice and seemed to be working hard but it did take a WHILE to get our food. I loved! My purple potato puree, however my chicken breast on the thicker side of the breast was undercooked. I also feel they need to stick to the dress code.

The filet mignon was really really good. The trout was stellar. The tofu and mushroom dish had some nice things going for it, like the tofu was torn into pieces which was cool. But the turmeric was overpowering while the tofu was flavorless. The crunchy shallots were a nice touch. The whole dish was under seasoned. Our server was excellent and our waters were refilled constantly. Such a great experience!

Nice restaurant with beautiful views BUT, 3 out of 4 in our party ended up with food poisoning.

Best meal I've had in months! Everything was fantastic: the wine selection, the pork chop (so delicious), and the dessert were all exceptional quality. Dinner here is well-worth the price.

Delicious burrata and entrees good too! Better than expected especially for a national park restaurant.

I had to go back after a bad first meal as this is the restaurant where we were staying at in the park. It took 90 minutes for a steak and piece of trout to arrive. The waiter was excellent this time but the kitchen let him down as all his tables took forever. Our food arrived as we were walking out the door after waiting an hour and a half. The entrees were tasty and hot. The broccolini was barely heated and hard to cut with a steak knife. Aramark shouldn't run restaurants just vending machines.

Food took 1.5 hours to arrive. 3 steaks ordered 2 mid rare 1 medium, all came out mid well. Manager took 20% off the bill. $260 not worth it at all, Texas Roadhouse is better every time. Big disappointment worst and most expensive meal in Yosemite.

Our main courses took a long time to arrive. My lamb shank was luke warm and the vegetables were room temperature. I waved to the waiter and he waved back but didn't come to the table. After 5 plus minutes I asked the man busing to get the waiter and he said he would get the food warmed up. The same plate came back again with hot vegetables and slightly warmer lamb. I gave up at that point and just ate it. It was tasty, just luke warm. After that the waiter avoided our table until the check. I gave the waiter a 15% tip. My guess is my wife's order had to be custom cooked and the lamb just taken out of the oven. It probably was ready earlier than the fish dish and sat waiting and getting cold. The waiter probably was either slammed or figured to avoid the table since the tip might be poor. Either way it was a pricey mediocre meal.

Beautiful setting, pleasant staff, the room is unnecessarily loud due to poor acoustics and highly reflective surfaces. Conversation was a challenge for those of us with hearing issues.
