Just reopened. Absolutely worth it. Ironing out timing of food but the service, Collette was fantastic!

A totally amazing experience. The prime rib with Yorkshire pudding was incredible. This place is like stepping back to a by gone era.

The truffle deviled eggs were great. My husband had the oxtail pasta and loved it. I had the salmon and it was a bit overdone. The crème brûlée was amazing. The Ahwahnee Cabernet was good. We got there a bit early and we understood that they couldn't sit us early but when we were seated we saw that there were plenty of tables that still weren't occupied when we left. The piano player did a nice job.

Ambience and service was great. Unfortunately the food fell short of expectation. When we booked online the menu indicated we'd be served a buffet however on arrival we were surprised to choose from an a la carte menu. The flank steak w/ potato pavè was disappointing. The pavè was uncooked and the replacement mash potatoes were lukewarm. The French Onion soup was served lukewarm. At that price point, one would not expect uncooked and lukewarm food to be sent out.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service. We enjoyed a lovely dinner. The pianist added ambiance for the experience!

Our 36th wedding anniversary meal was fantastic in the gorgeous dining room! There was a pianist playing beautiful music! Shannon was our server & he was friendly & attentive! He even walked all the way to the valet station to bring me my hiking shoes that I left underneath our table! He also prepared a special anniversary chocolate mousse cake for us, on the house! I highly recommend treating yourself to a meal atThe Ahwahnee! 🥰

We really loved it. We were only disappointed that we couldn't get a reservation for another night before our trip was over. Our server 'Marc' and busser were top notch. The setting and ambiance with the views, decor and piano player were great. Food was fast and good. 5 stars.

The ambiance is beautiful. The food was expensive and overcooked. We requested rare and our steak and lamb were well done. Disappointed in the food quality.

After a lengthy renovation the dining room was restored to its majestic style. We enjoyed the view of the surrounding mountains and the interior architecture. The food was excellent and there was minimal wait. Portions were generous and food was tasty. Not enough room for dessert but would have chosen all items on menu.

Dresscode imposed beforehand but at location people in sports short and T-shirt. We booked at 8pm, arrived at 7.50 and were asked to wait untill called (at 8) whilst inside there were plenty of empty tables. Service (Nancy) was excellent! Cocktails very poor, food was good but the refill of the buffet was very slow. Scenery beautifull, which determines the price ..

Initially, we were confused about how to get there, but we finally figured it out. The food was served buffet style due to remodeling of hotel and was overall very good. It was a very enjoyable experience of fine dining.

Very nice historically nostalgic experience at the Ahwahnee for dinner. The food was great so hats off to the chef & all the workers making the experience happen. We hope to visit again soon.

We were not aware that the dinner would be a buffet, nor that it would cost $63/person. W we weren't warned about the price before we received the bill and we didn't even eat very much! The food was fine but not worth the price, even when considering the extra cost for bringing ingredients to the valley. The dining room is beautiful. But there was construction outside which spoiled the view.

We had the Sunday Grand Brunch and it was amazing! It was pricey but well worth it. Beverages both hot and cold were included. Lots of delicious choices for breakfast and lunch if you go around 10 am, with everything from continental, fish, vegan, gluten free, and exotic desserts too. The prime rib was extra tender. The servers were very attentive and friendly and even provided a birthday cupcake and candle for our son who was celebrating his birthday. We would definitely eat here again.
