The Yosemite Lodge Food Court can get a bit crowded, especially during meal times. You’ll need to place your order through a self-serve kiosk, which can take a few minutes if there’s a line. The food is decent and convenient after a long day of hiking. It’s not fancy, but it does the job when you’re hungry and tired.
Very low-quality food for an unreasonably high price. The dishes are mediocre at best but priced like at a good restaurant. I understand it’s a tourist spot, but for these prices you’d expect at least decent taste and fresh ingredients. Disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.
John was our waiter at the mountain room and he was very pleasant. My fiancé had the Wagyu burger and I had the trout. Both of the dishes were very good.
Food was okay, service was great, but the prices for main courses are just too high. We ate in another national park recently, more isolated than this one, but with excellent food at half the price. Good beer selection.
While the Yosemite site says that reservations are strongly suggested, we did see open tables and saw groups without them being seated. Online also says there is a dress code but we overheard this was no longer the case. Surprisingly nice cocktails and menu-better than standard fare. Friendly service.
Beautiful restaurant. Plain, simple, tasteful, with spectacular views of the upper falls. Limited menu but good food and well prepared.
Food quality not as good as last visit two years ago. Only the rack of lamb is still great.
We've stayed at the Yosemite Valley Lodge a few times and have always wanted to try the Mountain Room Restaurant. On our recent trip to Yosemite (which is a must), we finally decided to make reservations. The restaurant itself has an upscale vibe with dim lighting, and there's a huge window with a beautiful view of Yosemite Falls. Honestly, the view was the highlight of our dinner experience. Unfortunately, the rest was disappointing. Service was slow and not very attentive. Our server was friendly, but we had to ask several times for drinks and other items we were missing. It felt like we were constantly looking around trying to flag him down, and it took a long time to get anything. Foodwise, for the most part my family enjoyed their meals, but the lamb chops I ordered were disappointing. I thought it was underwhelming and lacked flavor, nothing memorable. For the price, I expected a lot more and this is not a restaurant I would recommend. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the service and food didn't match up. We don't plan to return.
Flavor is not bad but my stomach hurts after eating that and hurts for one day. I guess there is something wrong with the food.
The vegetable curry soup is amazing. The salads are fresh. The French fries had been sitting out way too long. Picking up food after ordering at the kiosk is confusing. It’s in a beautiful place though, and totally worth it :)

Spacious cabin food court vibes right in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Lots of parking available.
Expect to pay national park prices. Limited choices but happy to have tried their Japanese section of rice bowls which is a rarity.
Service was good and prompt - order from a self service kiosk and they will shout your order number when ready for collection. Might want to consider improving the collection system and many times the customers can’t hear their number being called and there is no proper standing waiting area.
There is also a Starbucks inside. Water cooler available as well to top up your bottles for hydration!
Food quality and quantity was decent! Chicken tenders are a MUST try!!
Great for variety of choices for families and all! Lovely!

Food here was okay. It's a nice place to dine inside. Unfortunate, while we were there, three of the six kiosks were not working. The kiosks are there for you to order and pay for your food. The second time we came here, only two of them were working.
Is it a software issue? Computer parts gone bad? With the amount of traffic Yosemite gets, seems that there should be some kind of computer support 24/7 for all the restaurants since they are all run by Aramark. How about having back up registers at the counter when things like this happen? People are hungry and get angry when you can't fix minor problems like this.
Thankfully there's a Starbucks here, so you can always go there for your coffee needs.

Only 2 out of 8 order kiosk worked. I ordered a BLT, and wife got a teriyaki chicken bowl. Food was prepared quickly but the BLT’s bacon was hard like a week old. Chicken teriyaki was so over cooked (grilled) that it tasted like sawdust. Make that hard sawdust. Wife ended ordered a sandwich next door at the Starbucks.
I complained to the workers.
