The food is good but a little bit overrated, especially for the fried chicken. I am not saying it’s not good, but considering the price, it’s not that impressive.

I love the vibe sitting outside but there are so many bees outside recently. The service is good

Solid fried chicken place! I don't usually like fried chicken.

Good:
- Limited parking but we got a spot super close by!
- The 3 pc fried chicken was amazing, the chicken was super juicy, it also came with delicious corn bread and a mac salad
- The bread of the fried chicken sandwich was great
- Lots of cute seating options, all outdoors and in the shade which was nice on a hot day
- Really fast service and you get food 10 min after you order

Bad:
- The chicken in the fried chicken sandwich was too dry for me

Overall really liked the portion sizes and quality of food here.

It's an outdoor experience with plenty of shade. You wait in line to order the food. The staff are helpful and patient. The menu is primarily fried chicken; and it is crispy and well seasoned - worth the wait. The sides are also worth trying.

The backyard of Ad Hoc, so to speak, this is an excellent place to have lunch or get take out Thomas Keller-style.
The fried chicken was hands down the best I've ever had and my son had an amazing pulled pork sandwich. Plus, the grounds are pretty and you get to see the food growing right beside you in the garden plots.

This is overrated. I came here to have the fried chicken and the waiter recommend I try the burger, bad idea! This thing is thicccc and falls apart. Also, don’t just run with the recommendations for wine from the bartender. I hade the sucker sign on my forehead and went for the recommendation and when I got the bill I almost fell off the chair. If the bartender sees me ordering a glass of a $20 wine why would he recommend one that is $35 and not disclose it? I wish he would’ve disclosed that. I never saw a glass of wine on the menu for that price so I feel taken advantage of.

Ate here 3+ years ago and not since. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Tried a little bit of everything, not impressed.

Ordered the 3pcs chicken plate plus an extra side of macaroni salad. The second macaroni salad was actually a bean salad. The staff happily replaced it. However upon opening this container the macaroni salad was completely different than the first salad. Turned out we didn’t like either. One was super soupy with mayo and the other one dry. No consistency in the kitchen apparently. The chicken was excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere had a fun casual vibe. Parking is horrible. Too many good options in Napa area to eat here again.

If you are craving for fried chicken, this is the place, the chicken was crispy, juicy and good looking. Nice outdoor seating, and good atmosphere.
BUT for Thomas Keller restaurant, execution was bad. Great recipe, but bad kitchen (?) and inconsistency ( we are locals, went to French laundry, bouchon restaurant and bakery, eat a lot in Napa in general)
1. One of the chickens had long curly hair hanging out of it...eew.. we told the staff, she said sorry and brought new chicken ( without hair)
2. My honey butter was missing from my order
3. I heard another person next to us saying to the staff that his chicken was raw/red ? they gave him a whole new order like us

Ugh another overrated and underwhelming experience. Here’s the thing, when you eat bone-in chicken, you almost always know where the bones are. Here, it’s surprise. They cut up the breast in smaller pieces so when you bite in, you may find the secret prize of multiple bones. Yaaaaay!! The chicken is very under seasoned, the breading is fine but the overall chicken wouldn’t compete with your local hole-in-the-wall. The Mac salad is fine, not bad, very creamy, almost like a potato salad consistency. The cornbread is forgettable. Not worth the money, doesn’t even come close to the hype of whatever glory days this chicken might have had.

It's a bougie KFC. Mac salad was honestly great but the chicken had an interesting flavor. Napa Valley Tourist are absolutely their prime demographic. Worth at least trying once but likely won't return.

If you like bread soaked in harsh mustard with bold raw onions & sour pickles on a Bouchon bun then order the pulled pork sandwich. Then sit on an unstable bench and try to expose the bits of meat with your cheap plastic fork.

Too many wasps in the outside dining area. Had to eat out of the trunk of my car in the parking lot to avoid wasps.
