Serving size, taste it all fell flat for me. The vinegerette salad was good, scallops were avg at best and clams shouldn't be on the plate. Waiting staff was good. I did receive my soup and salad at same time. Thought that was a bit weird one at a time would've been perfect or ask which one would I like first. Steak n fries mid, steak size is small with average taste and seasoning. I know its considered fine dining but give people there money's worth not with concept but with execution of dish. The cream soup with bacon I couldn't finish it. Service was good. Some of waiting staff a little rushy with plates and are you done with that questions. Lamb shanks was ok. Side of mash needs butter and some flavor more cream. Entire meal for the money was average at best. Even.dessert. ambience is nice. People watching however I will try more spots on the yountville strip before I return to buchon bistro. The greatest form of illusion well mannered articulate staff good service combined with over priced underwhelming small portion non seasoned food the combination thereof equals great profit for BB and if you really know food taste presentation, the presentation is on point, however the taste very mid to say the least. If there is a large group be patient, were spending money and not in a rush.
I’m a serious foodie, so I don’t hand out praise lightly—but Erika absolutely deserves it. My fiancé and I were celebrating our anniversary and stopped, only to find it had already closed for the day. Just as we were about to walk away, Erika noticed us and went out of her way to make the moment special.
She didn’t have to do anything, but her kindness, warmth, and thoughtfulness turned a small letdown into a truly memorable moment—let’s just say it involved something sweet, colorful, and completely unexpected.
We will absolutely be coming back—not just for the incredible food, but for Erika. She’s the kind of person who reminds you what genuine hospitality feels like. Thank you so much Erika
Overall decent meal but some major issues to flag. We were served 2 orders of rotten mussels and unfortunately had to send them back. The waiter asked us what we wanted instead and we asked for steak frites. We were shocked that we were charged for the steak frites (a more expensive item) vs the rotten mussels that were less expensive. He should’ve at least indicated that we would be upcharged for receiving rancid seafood. All in all, I would not recommend Bouchon
Fine, fine dining.
Simple dishes done outstandingly well. I dined on Ratatouille and Mac ‘n Cheese. It was an amazingly delicious combination. The fresh and warm tomato, eggplant, and zucchini juxtaposed against the creamy pasta shells just brought so much pleasure. I will remember this as a favourite memory. An outstanding meal.

Steep price but you really do get what you pay for. Their macarons are so heavenly and taste/feel expensive! Worth trying at least once and I try to stop by if I’m nearby.

We were able to sit at the bar without a reservation. Bartender, Justin was fun, knowledgeable, and added so much to the experience.

Food has gone downhill and ridiculously loud inside. If you want to visit with your wife/date/friends you'll need to request a table outside. Given the fact that the food has gone downhill I can't see us going back. Too bad as it was a special place.

Had high expectations for Bouchon but really quite disappointed.. ordered a special beet salad which was way too heavily dressed with a vinaigrette that had a really potent vinegar taste that strongly overpowered the flavors of the other ingredients. Entrees were a special pork belly and the chicken, both of which were SO salty. My husband couldn’t even finish his dish and the accompaniments to the chicken were borderline inedible. I don’t think any kitchen staff could have possibly tasted these dishes before they came out or else they should be embarrassed to have served them. This was shockingly the worst dinner of our entire Napa trip and would definitely not recommend. Go down the street to Bottega, warmer service and way better food.
10/13/24 amazing breakfast
A must go if you are in Yountville and looking for a French restaurant.
I enjoyed the steak with sautéed spinach, along with a glass of the Pride Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.
We dined at Bouchon Bistro in Napa last week, and it was an amazing experience. As expected, both the food and the service were exceptional. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and offered great suggestions while we were choosing our dishes. We absolutely loved it there and will definitely be coming back!
