Wonderful Hispanic feel and food with depth and flavor. The margaritas are delicious, carrying surprising notes of complexity I was not expecting from this standard drink. The mole enchiladas were richer than I anticipated giving a surprise hit to the taste buds. The atmosphere was warm and family oriented allowing our group to share a meal in a close and encouraging environment. I will be going back some day.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner for two at La Calenda in mid-December. The margarita was superb, the guacamole & chips were incredible, the main courses so flavorful and the flan was delicious! Special thanks to our wonderful server Leydi, who was so attentive and kind! She deserves a raise! We truly enjoyed the whole meal and look forward to coming back. I have been here multiple occasions, food is always exquisite. Tacos Al Pastor are a Must. Today our server offered their new Addition to their appetizer list: chicharrones. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Two chicharrones ordered and devoured within minutes.
