Wow that was a disaster. I went for my birthday and anniversary with another set of friends. It took a long time for a waiter to come to our table, even longer for the food to come. We got 5 tiny plates that were all lacking. The “dessert” was not good at all. They didn’t even offer us dessert for my birthday or let us order extra. We asked if we could at least order bread from the menu for an extra charge because we were starving. The server told us no, and then proceeded to tell us “most people are full when they leave here.” Will not be back, very disappointed.

I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at this restaurant. On a relatively slow weekday evening, with only about six other tables occupied, the service was shockingly poor. Our waiters completely forgot our entrees after bringing the appetizers. After waiting an unusually long time, we had to reorder the mains, only for the kitchen to rush them out. The result? Inedible dishes. Everything was overly salty, and the shrimp was undercooked. To make matters worse, the bread they served was stale and likely left over from the previous day. For a place with so few patrons that night, there’s absolutely no excuse for such disorganized service and poorly prepared food. I won’t be returning. However, I’ll be expecting a response from the Manager.

A Disappointing Experience
This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but for all the wrong reasons. We ordered three entrees (pizza, spaghetti, and shrimp risotto), two appetizers, and sourdough bread, along with two different red wines. It started poorly with the sourdough arriving stale, but that was just the beginning of a downhill evening.
Our appetizers came out promptly, but after that, we waited—and waited—for our mains. After 1.5 hours, we finally flagged down our server to ask about our food. His response? "I can take your order now." We were speechless. We reminded him that he had already taken our order, even mentioning how the risotto would come last. He stared at us blankly before running to the kitchen. Ten minutes later, our mains arrived, and it was as if they’d been salted by accident.
The pizza was mediocre at best, the shrimp risotto had undercooked shrimp, and by the time we saw the spaghetti, we had lost our appetite completely.
We came to this restaurant in wine country, hoping for a good meal and fine wine, but even the wine was disappointing. The manager did come to apologize, and while I appreciated the gesture, it couldn’t salvage the experience. This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever had.

Terrible food ever. We ordered urchin pasta, aglio olio and risotto. The taste was surprisingly subpar, oily, salty and sour.
The environment and service were great.

I have been here twice. The food is always great, the service both times has been lacking.
Not like TERRIBLE, but if I am being honest it is the worst service in Napa. Obviously, it's a high standard, but both occasions we have dined here, we found the server not knowledgeable on basic menu questions and not very attentive.
The food is terrific, so we will come back.

Absolutely delicious grilled octopus and sourdough appetizers, the halibut was light and beautifully presented as well as the pastas were delicious. it was an expensive evening, but we definitely enjoyed ourselves
The BEST vegan meal and hospitality in napa!! Wow we just can’t get over this experience! Unreasonable Hospitality at it's finest! The chef Juan and the waiters were just so phenomenal! I wish NYC had more places that make every detail matter like this place! Incredible pasta, incredible wine and service! Thank you for the most memorable meal for my kids, and my family in Napa! We will be back!! Chef JUAN You are a GIFT!

A nice, casual birthday meal. The menu is fairly limited but the items we choose we excellent. The tomato salad in particular was a standout. We were there in the early evening and the noise level was low, but I suspect at busier times the open main room could be quite noisy.
Lovely experience. Food absolutely amazong - simple but uniquely delicious with surprises in the complexity of flavor delivered. Worth a visit! Very unpretentious for a michelin experience.
Excellent experience. The food was fabulous. The ambience is amazing. When we arrived they brought us too complimentary glasses of sparkly that was delicious. Only comment was that service thereafter was a little slow. Our drinks were empty and it took us asking if we could order more, to get waiters attention. The service was very friendly. Not a big deal, but just a little more attention would make this place a standout.

Excellent experience. Food is delicious and surprisingly better than some other restaurants nearby that get all the hype. The Pinsas are outstanding and I love the Cacio e Pepe and the Spaghettoni aglio e olio with the dungeon was crab is also very good.
the food was excellent and we enjoy sitting outside on patio. We have been coming here for years thru ithis restaurants different incarnations. The chef is very good here and everthing we had was unique and delicious. Only critique I would make is that Mgmt should have a brush to sweep off the ash from the pizza oven that falls onto the cushions and table. Also, my white pants had black smudges on the knee and other places on the pants. which I assume came from the underside of the table. Fortunately they were washable and It came out with some scrubbing. This should be remedied.
We had a nice night at the restaurant. It wasn't very busy on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, so it lacked a little bustle. The food was good, but the portions seemed a bit off. The starter with proscuitto and figs was on really thick bread, which wasn't mentioned in the description. It was good, but just very filling for a starter. The Cacio di pepe was good, but very small portion. Everything we had was pretty good, but not outstanding. Just lacked a little something. But overall a nice place.

We stayed at the North Block hotel on an anniversary trip and had dinner here our first night. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all amazing. They welcomed us with glasses of bubbly for the occasion and kept up the friendly and attentive service the whole night. Great recommendations off the menu and everything we had was really tasty. We ate and drank well our whole trip but this meal ended up being my favorite of them all!
