I have always loved Applebee's because of the great price to service and quality ratio is usually outstanding but this time I received perfect food as always but I received service that I still can't believe is being unnoticed by the management at Applebee's in yucca valley CA. While I was eating my dinner I overheard one of their employees talking on a cell phone I do not know if said employee (which I found out the employees name is don) was on his break or not but that's not the important part the important part was what he was saying he was making fun of a customer for being transgender and what they had ordered for dinner which I only pray that the customer in discussion wasn't in the restaurant anymore or could not hear what he was saying.

Sat at the bar and Went with The Whiskey Burger and NO RAGRATS! Best Burger I have had in a long time. The Burger was cooked perfectly with the bacon and onions and the Flavor Explosion in my mouth was purely Orgasmic! Our server was super Friendly and Attentive.

I went there many times in the past and it was all good until last time when I was there with a large group for a business dinner.
As we walked in we noticed this big Tongan-looking guy arguing with an elderly person on the side porch. From what we heard, the older gentleman tried to enter the restaurant and the young employee slammed the door in front of his face instead of holding it open like you would expect from an employee.
After the elderly guest slanted into the door the employee used very foul language towards the poor guest.
Later on, one of the guests that was with me also noticed the save employee meeting with someone's food with his fingers. I can only guess whose plate it was. Completely rude and unacceptable behavior. We will not go back there again. Why does management employ such people? Makes no sense. When we asked our waiter we were informed that that employee's name was Don.

One of the absolutely most filthy restaurants that we have ever seen in the Applebee's chain. From the dining room floors to the washrooms. Discusting.

There was no one to greet us when we walked in and we waited five minutes before another group walked in and got sat. I had to tell the server that we’d already been waiting and would like to be seated and she seemed really confused. No one came to get our order and we sat there for another ten or so minutes before a server, different than the one who sat us, came over. We ordered and got our food after a long wait. Didn’t see our server again until she brought the food, did not give us sauces or enough plates to split our group order, so we all ate off of the platter. Not a huge deal but walking away before we can say anything is rude. Never got refills or to order our alcoholic drinks because she never came back. Didn’t order dessert because when we finished our food, we sat and waited for our server to order and gave up. Got up to get our ticket and was told we’d have to wait for the server some more. Went to pay and got told I had to walk all the way back because I couldn’t pay up front. Why not just take my payment when you drop off the ticket? Or tell me when I went to get the ticket that I have to pay in the back with Apple Pay? Horrible service, girls working were either rude or completely lost. Disappointed and cost too high for the service and condition of the restaurant while we were there. It was filthy and not even 8 pm when we were there. Wasn’t busy , I feel like they could’ve done better . Left annoyed .
