Food is pretty good, however much of the food is fried and smothered in sugar sauces. While it may be tasty, there are healthier items on menu. Also when you ask for condiments it takes 10 times asking for it before you receive it, meanwhile you almost finish your meal. For instance I like mustard on a hamburger, i didn't get mustard until 35 minutes later after asking several times. Also it wasn't busy but it took a long time to get seated.

I came here with my gf on our way back from Joshua tree to LA. We got seated right away and let us know their fryer was down but that wasn’t a problem for us. We appreciated the heads up. The food was really good I had one of their chicken bowls and my girlfriend had a quesadillas salad and they were both delicious. Would come back here again

The food was excellent! Waitress could use some training on attending to tables, especially when it wasn't busy. I had the bourbon chicken & shrimp & substituted broccoli for mashed potatoes, which was delicious! The butter pecan blondie was amazing!

I hate this say this because I love applebees but this place has gone down hill. It use to be amazing and I've waited 4 months for them to get better but it doesn't look like they're going too. The service is slow and the food as been terrible. Several bad experiences. April was the worst. In April, on my birthday, we waited at our table for an hour and a half before giving up and leaving. During this time we barely saw our waitress. The pace was not busy by the way. My kids pizza came out first, the bottom was burnt so bad she couldn't eat it. She tried because she was hungry and she's not a picky eater but she said it tasted 'burnt' and was hard to chew. She's 9+ so an older kid. We waved down our waitress, explained and apologized and asked if we could just exchange it for some chicken tenders and fries. She seemed annoyed but said okay. My husband's food came out next, it was luke warm but we couldn't find our waitress after that so he just gave up and ate it. After the hour and a half mark of sitting at our table, we gave up. I never got my food and my kid never got her replacement chicken tenders and fries. We had the hostess find our waitress and we got her to take off my meal from the check and we left. I haven't eaten there since until last night, i ordered take out, three cheese chicken penne pasta, thinking no way can they mess that up.....i was wrong. Instead of putting diced tomatoes on the pasta, they smothered it with pico de gallo(?). If they were our tomatoes that was fine, I put my phone number so they could have called and told me. I would have been fine without tomatoes. More than likely though, the cook was just cutting corners and didn't want to take the time to dice tomatoes and the pico de gallo comes already made so it was easier to just throw that on there and boy, did he throw it on there. There was so much! Needless to say, I give up and will not be eating here again.

I admit, I had not eaten at an Applebee's in over a decade. Never was that impressed with their food. However, we went to this one recently as I had a craving for fish and chips. Being from the northeast originally, I had low expectations. The fish and chips here was really very good. Husband had a burger and he was saying it was better than anywhere else around here. So I guess we will be going back on occasion. I think maybe they have come up a notch in the food quality since I went there many years ago.

No service, after 25 minutes my family and friends arrived after an graduation ceremony at 11:30am.
Observations:
1 no bus person
2 two server's
3 not even an attempt to ask us for water.
We all left and went nextdoor to a wonderful made to order sandwich and breakfast establishment. Fantastic!
Stay away from Applebee's Yucca Valley!!!

Food is mediocre, and if you're gluten-free, be careful what you order. The Artichoke Spinach dip has flour even though we we're told it didn't. The prices for the specials are reasonable and a step above a drive-thru restaurant. We did have a fantastic waitress, so the service was exceptional. If you're just hungry, it works if you're looking for gourmet dining, you're in the wrong place
