Tony & I enjoyed celebrating our 62nd wedding anniversary at La Copine today. Our grandson Austin joined us. We sat at the bar overlooking the grill. It's my favorite place as I get to watch the cooks doing a lot of the prep. Their fast pace, quiet communication and ability to produce consistently delicious food is admirable. This amazing little stop outside of Joshua Tree is so worth the drive! The menu is packed full of unique, creative dishes that are incredibly flavorful and delicious! We had the melon gazpacho--amazing--plus the steak skewer: may be the best steak I've ever had. The creamy grits were a perfect compliment to the steak, and the Italiano champagne cocktail was superb. Can't wait to go back!
