Food is 10/10. The most gluten free-friendly place I've ever been to. Staff was great and happy to help with anything... except the hostess. I'm sure we are not the first to complain about her. People around us were also shocked with how she was speaking to us and the people before us. She does not fit in with the rest of the vibe. She was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Her replies were unprofessional and purposefully unhelpful. She hated being there and we almost left, honestly. I'm glad we stuck through her attitude and we enjoyed the meal but she should not be front of house. (Visited 3/30/24)

This might have been one of the best places I've ever eaten. Really solid food. But the fried eggplant really was special. Crispy, salty and a bit sweet. Fantastic. Everything was good even though it felt a bit weird to have something so LA out in the middle of nowhere seemingly

I never review. But we were shocked to arrive at noon with no reservation and be seated within half an hour at a delightful outdoor picnic table. The service was impeccable and also comfortable - the food the best we had during our weeklong visit to the area. The place felt special and we treated it so. A small plate, 3 entrees, a salad and the beignets, plus a glass of wine and 3 other fun beverages barely topped $150. I can't wait to recommend to our friends and family.

So great to return again with Spring in the air & neophytes in tow to this tremendous cuisine... always love bringing friends to experience and see through their eyes what it was like to eat here for the first time ....! Everything about this place, service, ambiance and remote location (love that you are forced to drive some distance to be here)...the scene for a memorable dining experience !

It's very busy, but it's worth the wait. The staff do an incredible job of getting people in and out without rushing you. The food is fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the potatoes, rock fish cake with fresh avocado, and a tasty rice dish with fresh oysters mushrooms.

Don't even try to walk in (take the time they tell you and double it). Food was as amazing as all the other reviews say, but not worth that one hour wait time. Was told approx 30 min for a walk-in wait by one of the hostesses, ended up waiting closer to an hour to then learn (only as we got seated) that walk-ins are outdoors only (even on a really windy day) from another hostess (who was much more helpful and upfront). They also seat larger tables faster than small 2-person ones.Waitress was fantastic, fast and efficient.

What more is there to say about the best place in the high desert? Food is next level good, and the staff is fantastic. Recommend making reservations.

I LOVED the food, atmosphere, and service! Make a reservation & bring your friends! Try all the different plates! I celebrated NYE and my 30th birthday here and it was terrific. Lovely scenery in the desert, delicious fresh local food, and fantastic service & vibes

The food was fantastic. My boyfriend and I visited while in Yucca Valley and ordered the papas, steak sando and shrimp roll. Bread was so soft and the flavors of each were really delicious, you can tell this chef knows what she's doing! The chefs wife personally came up to my boyfriend and I to ask how everything was, her face lit up when we told her how much we were enjoying our meal. Love to see a passionate and friendly owner. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR RESERVED TIME. We arrived at the restaurant 12 min after our reserved time through no fault of our own (gps said a dirt road went through to the main road but it didn't so we had to go the long way around). We tried calling but it went right to pre-recorded message without being able to leave a message. I've been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years and there is an unspoken 15 min grace period because things happen. After an hour and a half of being lead to believe we would get a table they said they couldn't accommodate us so we ordered to go. My friend went to the bathroom and saw our table was open. After asking if we could sit there and eat when the owner screamed at her saying she serves 400 people a day and didn't need our business so she canceled our order. She will sadly be in the middle of nowhere alone if she keeps treating people like that.

We came here on a day that happened to be pouring rain and so all tables outside were not available- which made an already busy place feel extra busy. We were so impressed with the agility, kindness, a d hard work of the team. Way to go, La Copine! The food was amazing- so worth the wait. We will for sure be back. Thanks for a cozy, special meal. :)

Was so pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant so close to The Integraton. Very tasty food, especially the appetizer potatoes and fried eggplant. Truly remarkable. As in, I will make the 90 minute drive again just for those 2 items alone! The server was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The entree's my friend and I ordered were good, Rockfish cake and Chicken Piccata. Not epic like the appetizers. The rockfish cake was like a crab cake without the crab taste nor the crispy coating. The piccata was very flavorful, but unfortunately, the chicken hadn't been tenderized, so it was a bit tough to chew. (I was surprised by that oversight. As for the drinks, underwhelming. I really hoped the sangria would be full of flavor but it wasn't. It was pretty watery, and the glass was smaller I'm used to. But the coffee we were served while we waited outside was good, the atmosphere, while cold and windy, had a good vibe. Overall, I really enjoyed La Copine. It seems like they have a seasonal menu so I will be back for the Spring and Summer! L

My husband and I have been wanting to try La Copine for a long time. Then we found out that a couple of friends of ours in the high desert also love this restaurant so we finally got to try it with them today. They were seasoned La Copine guests so they pointed us towards the roasted potato side which was amazing. I had the chicken piccata which was a beautiful dish, my husband had the wagyu beef sandwich which was wonderful and my friend is in love with the salmon salad so she ordered that again. The service was super friendly on point and a joy and in general I am just really happy that we were finally able to visit this restaurant befor.e it closes for the season. It's tucked away on the road to Landers and a Hidden desert gem that's worth the drive and any wait you might experience when you get th-ere. OH and the coffee and desserts are a perfect end to such a fun meal.
