Omg!This is the real thing!I had Emma's special and was it special! I was transported to my mother's kitchen.The taco was lightly fried, making it crispy yet tender. Carne molida and a little potato, yes, thank you! Para que rinda...The enchiladas were rolled and stuffed with enough cheese for a cheese monger like me. The best part was the onions... omg, just enough to give those delicious enchiladas texture, but not overpowering. One was red, and one was green, just delicious sauces, no meat just like Mama made. Back in the day, ground beef was reserved for special occasions.Everything else was perfect, beans, rice, sopapilla, and the salsa. The young man who served me was attentive and very friendly.I will be back on my next trip.Emma should be very proud to have her family honoring her name by continuing to cook like she did back in Potosi.Thank you for staying true to your roots!
Food was so good! I love Mexican food and thought the cheese and onion enchiladas were outstanding. Very authentic and homemade. Service was great and friendly.We were just passing through but would definitely eat here again!

Great family run, friendly, homestyle Southwest cooking at reasonable prices. Look for some of the cool memorabilia on the walls. Restrooms available and free parking. The tacos were corn, and uniquely part crispy, part soft. Refried beans and Spanish rice were delicious.

Loved this place. This was exactly the meal I wanted and expected. I'm not giving 5 stars for mind-blowing food but for the authenticity of the experience. Really enjoyable stuff in the Southern Colorado / Northern New Mexico style. I had the Emma's Special (pictured) and enjoyed it. Friendly and genuine service as well. Can't wait to get back to Alamosa to try the Old Man!

What a gem! Everything was fabulous. Every dish was full of flavour - it was all we could do not to lick the plates. The complimentary salsa from “Grandma’s recipe” was the best we have ever experienced. The service was outstanding; attentive, enthusiastic and patient with all our questions. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Incredibly accommodating. Most dishes could be made vegetarian if they weren’t already.
