“A Perfect Stop After a Long Journey
After two weeks in Central America, my husband and I were exhausted and starving when we stopped at Robin’s Nest Cafe in Fairplay – the perfect halfway point on our 5-hour drive home from DIA. What a find!
The comfort food here is cooked to perfection. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was everything we needed – generously filled with eggs, bacon, home fried potatoes, and cheese, all wrapped in a soft tortilla that made it easy to eat. The portion was so large it fed me for lunch, then my husband for a mid-afternoon snack!
Our server Abby was incredible – she seamlessly moved through the restaurant taking orders, delivering food, welcoming guests, and bussing tables with such efficiency that she made it all look effortless. Her friendly demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere.
This is exactly the kind of place you want to discover on a road trip. Great food, warm hospitality, and honest portions. We’ll definitely be stopping here again whenever we drive through Fairplay.”

“One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at-and we eat at a lot of them. We had lunch here on a whim, and wow - great food. My husband had the chimichanga and I had green chili pork. The meat was melt in your mouth tender and the spices a perfect balance of heat and subtle flavor. We definitely want to come back for dinner!”
