My family and I visited for a Labor Day weekend getaway. Unfortunately, our first interaction at the establishment was very disappointing. The young gentleman who assisted us initially tried to deny us service, claiming that we had been there the day before and had left the place in bad condition. This was not true—it was our first time ever visiting.

To make matters worse, in order to receive service I was asked to provide proof of where I had been the previous day. Luckily, I had videos taken at the exact time of the alleged incident that showed we were out on the trail, nowhere near the establishment. Having to prove my innocence in order to be served was both frustrating and unprofessional.

We also ran into some acquaintances at the same location, and they shared that they had been treated in a similar way. What stood out is that the individuals who actually caused the issue the day prior were Hispanic, and we are also Hispanic. This left us feeling that we were unfairly and racially profiled.

I understand that mistakes can happen, and I also recognize that a business has the right to deny service. However, the way this situation was handled was not appropriate and does not reflect good business practice. An honest mistake is one thing, but making assumptions based on race and forcing customers to prove otherwise is not acceptable. It risks alienating good customers and reflects poorly on the establishment.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Customers should always be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of background.

We had breakfast and dinner here, as it was close to our campground (lottis creek). It’s a lovely little spot that gives off log cabin western vibes. The food is good, albeit a tiny bit overpriced. They have a bucket of 5 beers for $20 which was great too. The location is awesome and surrounded by gorgeous mountains. Definitely worth the pit stop if you’re in the area or need a break from cooking while camping!

My wife and I stopped by after some off-roading on tin cup pass. We were super hungry and I got the Philly cheese steak was amazing. I do not remember what they called it, but I recommend trying it. It was more of a wrap than a sub and it was on Naan bread. But so good.
