I have to admit..... We love the food here!! It's always delicious. The customer service is lacking, but that's not the beef I have.HERE IS MY FRUSTRATION........ I don't understand why I have to show my drivers license every time I pickup my order that is already paid for! Most restaurants ask for an order number or the email confirmation-not identification.It's especially frustrating when my spouse makes the order and I pick it up. I have to call home for him to confirm I can take the food because the order is in his name.Do better El Pollo Loco!! Not what your customer wants to deal with after a really long day at work AND this sort of service brings down the excellence of your product.

For $13, I got: a $5, tiny scoop of dry, "kfc" (made from a box) mashed potatoes w a drizzle of gravy, a small, dilapidated chicken taco & 1 full avocado chicken taco. The chicken does taste good. No drink. Not impressed.
Love el pollo being from Los Angeles however they often get my order wrong and my husband may have gotten food poisoning from here Sunday February 18 2024. It's really a bummer because we would be here weekly and now not sure if we will ever go back.

This is the second El Pollo Loco location in Colorado (being in Arvada). I've also been to El Pollo Loco in California and Nevada. I've been eating here for the past 3 months since it opened in November 2023. I really enjoy the burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and tostadas here like the rest. I really enjoy the creamy cilantro dressing. The chicken used is top-notch. The newly introduced crunchy chicken taco is excellent. It's a great competitor to the ones at Taco Bell, but there's far more chicken in it. Also, the ingredients are higher quality. The service is fast, but I order ahead of time with the El Pollo Loco app to earn rewards for free food. The restaurant has a nice brand-new look to it. The location is in a far better neighborhood than the other Colorado one in Denver's Montbello. I'd recommend people in the Metro Denver area to try this place out.

We have ordered El Pollo loco, 3 times now. The first 2 were good, the third was inedible . It was the driest overcooked chicken I've ever eaten. I called to let them know about the experience and the manager was rude, accused me of lying and said I could bring it 20 minutes back to the restaurant so he could inspect it. GARBAGE!
