you could smell detergent when you walked in and again when we left. My beer had a strong detergent order i asked for a new one. My son in law just drank his but told me his has a strong detergent order in the glass 🤢

I would have given it five stars, but after what happened, I can’t. My wife told me that a waitress named Irma treated my sister, my wife, and their friends very badly. She said out loud that she didn’t think they were going to pay and asked another worker if she should go ahead and charge them already. She was being rude and even racist toward her own people. This really reflects poorly on the restaurant.

I went to el tapatio restaurant in Arvada Colorado with some friends around 12:00pm on Jan 03, 2026. the service was horrible. It was this server called Irma who was un respectful to us. Literally she said that we are just seating long time and we might leave without paying she mentioned to our server. Our server is a very kind gentleman but this lady Irma make us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome that we are not coming back to your restaurant. If you appreciated your clients you need to do something about this situation. Literally this server Irma is going to ruin your reputation. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Nothing really special about this place. Bad service and mediocre food. The whole atmosphere was just way off. For some reason one of the workers had their phone set up near the waiting area and was live streaming customers walking in. It was very invasive and off putting. Will not be back.

Good food, but service is not great. Twice we ordered top shelf margs and saw them pouring house tequila.

This is a really building and environment. The servers did their job but they were not that friendly. The nachos were soggy.

I celebrated my birthday here on Dec. 3rd with 8 others and we had tasty food. Their food portions are pretty big for one person so most of us split a meal. During dessert the mariachi came to sing happy birthday they were awesome. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly waitresses and waiters.

HAIR IN THE SALSA! Ate there 10-31-25. Language barrier. Had to send the food back, as it wasn't cooked as I ordered. No free refills on fountain drinks..??? Won't be going back.
