This is an amazing bakery! The folks at the barbershop next door recommended it to us and now, I want to recommend it to all! The selection is diverse enough for everyone to find something without being overwhelmed by choices.
Speaking as a pastry chef myself, the pastries are skillfully made here. The type of technique used to make many of the products in the case is called lamination, or carefully folding and stretching butter and dough to produce all of the flaky, buttery layers you enjoy. This is a difficult technique to master anywhere but especially in high altitude, where dough can rise out of your control.
I hope this can help some folks to understand JUST how special this bakery is! Very well-made product, very delicious options, very friendly staff.
The woman that owns/runs the bakery is such a warm, kind, and bubbly person. I love getting to start my morning talking with her. And besides that, the pastries are all amazing! Everything there is so good, and you can tell it's all made with love. I can't recommend this bakery highly enough!
