We have been going to the Tavern since it opened. We hadn’t been there since before Xmas but had a friend from out of town. We arrived at 6:30, ordered our food at 6:45 and had some great cocktails. At 7:45 I asked our waitress when our food would be out and the response was the cook was taking a break and would get started on our food next. 20 minutes later we were asked if I wanted a substitute since the cabbage wasn’t ready but I responded a substitute was fine. 15 minutes...
Been a few times, really tried to like it but I really don't think the quality of the food matches the price. The service and the location are great, no complaints there. Drinks are good, but priced high. The food is fine, but for what you're paying it's not great and kind of bland unfortunately. 2 people, 2 drinks each and 2 mains ~$160 after tip
We sat at the bar and had fantastic service. We really enjoyed watching Tristan and Matt make drinks all night. They were attentive to our needs and had great suggestions. I mean just look at these drinks, their attention to detail is beautiful! They also gave us some recommendations being that we are out of towners.
