Food is great. They are busy. Service is pretty decent but a little slow and hard to get everything you want in timely manner and get out of there. Have to repeatedly ask for some things. Was REALLY disappointed in the brisket. Very fatty. Ribs were good. Coleslaw doesn't have a lot of flavor and corn on the cob mushy. Meat is good.

Ridiculous experience today! We heard about this place and couldn’t wait to try. Staff was rude, took our order twice, blamed the back for running out of paper and still got it wrong. Staff stood around on their phones, passive aggressive when speaking. Definitely won’t be returning!
Saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives and decided to eat here on a recent trip to Aspen. It did not disappoint.
We shared an order of Onion Rings. We each had different entrees. One had the ribeye sandwich, one had the pulled pork dinner & lastly one had a hamburger.
The food was delicious! The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend a visit to Aspen Hickory House if you are in Aspen.

Food was good, but if you sit outside, you have to go in and ask for service anytime you need something, otherwise you will sit there for an hour waiting for service. Also, it’s like pulling teeth trying to get a box for your food. Asked three times and never had gotten a box or refills.

Holy Hickory House, Batman! The ribs... top notch! Tender, tender, tender! They had a great hickory smell and we loved the different BBQ sauce options. The service was great and the food came quickly. The milkshakes were surprisingly good. If you go on Tuesday or Thursday, you can get a full rack of ribs plus great sides for just a few bucks more than a half rack. Note they close for lunch at 2:30pm so if you show up at 2:35pm, you're out of luck! They open back up at 5pm. If you love really good baby back ribs, this is absolutely the place for you.

Relaxed, urgies BBQ restaurant! Very good American BBQ with, among other things, pulled pork and beef brisket. We came here spontaneously because we didn't want to wait 45 minutes somewhere else. What luck!
The BBQ was very good! Everything tasted wonderful and you could choose between different BBQ sauces as a topping. I was most impressed by the classic one, nice and sweet and smoky. This is how American BBQ has to be for me! The atmosphere was rustic and you can easily imagine what goes on here in winter. In September you can also come spontaneously.

This place was wonderful. The location felt like a cozy little log cabin in the woods. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food looked, smelled, and tasted incredible. Only slight negative is that it is actually pretty small inside. But easy to ignore. Not sure if they have outside seating, as it was dark and rainy so maybe i missed this. Highly recommend.
