The first time I ever went to Campo was on their Dirty 30 anniversary celebration, and I love that for me. This place was rowdy in all the best ways. I weaseled my way into a friend’s already made reservation at the bar, which was surrounded by standing room only, ran into a bunch of local close friends. Dim lit bar perfect for winding down in the evening. Bartender was very attentive and made a wonderful off-menu mocktail. We ordered the Burrata and Autunnale. Both were delicious appetizers. This was our first time to Aspen so we did not know some restaurants would be closed for the off-season but we lucked out walking in to this restaurant because it did not disappoint.
Any review of a restaurant in Aspen, when compared to restaurants in other cities/towns, must be taken with a large grain of salt given the moneyed town it has become. Restaurant prices generally are 15-20% higher than elsewhere. We started with the Pesca salad (peaches, blueberries and arugula) which was delicious. We had two pasta dishes. The pappardelle boscaiola (porcini mushrooms and Italian sausage in a red wine and beef reduction) was tasty but a bit too salty, which detracted...
