Considering that this restaurant is located at the top of the mountain and access is not the easiest, Elk Camp was impressively clean and very well maintained. The food quality was excellent, and the variety of options was outstanding.
There was a wide selection that can easily satisfy different tastes and preferences, which is not always expected from a mountain-top restaurant. Overall, it’s a great place to eat, and I highly recommend stopping by if you’re skiing in Snowmass and looking for a quality dining option on the mountain.

Amazing restaurant in Snowmass! Chef de Cusine, Sam Harding runs a great place to dine before hitting the slopes to ski/snowboarding in the winter or hike and bike on trails in the summer/fall! Great variety of food, awesome soux chefs on staff as well. You have to ride the Gondola up and down to get there and back. His mac n cheese awesome! Great restaurant, great people!

A very nice cafeteria style restaurant but we where here for one week and they never made their Elk Camp signature bacon cheeseburger! We’re leaving a bit disappointed, although we did have the signature haus burger at High Alpine which was amazing!

Very much enjoyed the food, the beef stew and pizza were flavorful and probably one of the best eating experiences I had on a ski hill. The large patio offers lots of seating and you can enjoy your food while baking in the sun.

As a local skier I visit elk camp almost every week during the winter season. It’s my first choice for food on Snowmass mountain due to having such a wide variety of high quality, great tasting food. The pizza and bistro are excellent. The service is top notch, recently they changed to self checkout, which was a bit of a challenge for the first time, but Amanda was super kind and eager to help us through the process, an excellent employee! I can’t wait to go back again.

Kid-friendliness: Alpine coaster is in walking distance as well as ski school. Also tube hill.
