The food is off the chain with the best staff to boot!! The short ribs are the best I have ever had being so lean, flavorful and tender combined with the spaghetti marinara with burrata & pine nuts to die for!

Good food and service. Don't love basement vibe but good ambient light and sound control. I have been there before and surprised at how high the prices are.

They tried to overcharge us, were declined by the bank, and then kept harassing us over the next couple of days. Just... wow.

Edit: We said yes when asked if we'd care for some truffles, but the price was neither disclosed on the menu nor verbally, which is a violation of Colorado's deceptive pricing law. Therefore, we were of course surprised when seeing a bill that doubled our expectations, and it included two different charges for truffles. The server, who was an extremely nice and professional gentleman, offered to check for us and came back confirming that the erroneous item on the bill had been removed. Apparently, this later drove the owner crazy: she had to charge a random amount to our credit card again (this transaction was automatically declined by the bank), and when that failed, she called and texted us after midnight when we were asleep. Now she is complaining that we did not answer their midnight calls. Amazing management of the restaurant indeed.

By the way, the truffles were quite mediocre... They smelled and tasted very bland.

Ellina is one of my favorite restaurants. A new sound proofing ceiling and carpeting has made conversation much easier and pleasant. The service was perfect, attentive but now cloying. A new Brunello by the glass, Castelli Martinozzi was far better than almost any higher priced Brunello I have ever tasted. Our meal of onion soup, and lasagna was excellent. The only criticism I had was the chicken milanaise. The initial serving was burned on the edges. We sent it back and another serving was brougnt out within 5 minutes. It was not burned but tasted dried out. I love the restaurant. I will not order the chicken milanaise again.

We've lived in the valley for 5 and 1/2 years and this was our first time dining at Ellina. The atmosphere was dark and cozy, drinks were good and food was delicious! Also appreciated that the owner came over to help us find a wine that everyone really enjoyed that was reasonably priced -which is not always easy to find in Aspen. We will definitely be back !

Lovely owner and staff. Incredible wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - my favorite is probably the cilantro one. Sitting at the bar and getting their tacos is a real treat after a long ski day. Though sometimes I can’t resist the homemade pasta.

In many years of being an Aspen regular Ellina was a wonderful find that we had never tried before. We tried a variety of dishes and all were very good. A great find.

NYE Specials were on point and always one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Aspen.

As an Aspen local for over 20 years, I can honestly say Ellina truly stands out. The quality of both the food and service was exceptional, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. The pasta was incredibly fresh, some of the best in town. I was absolutely thrilled with the entire experience and will definitely be back.

Ellina is hands down one of the best restaurants in Aspen. The menu is full of creative, absolutely delicious Italian dishes - the spaghetti marinara with burrata and artichoke bruschetta can’t be missed, along with a Sorrentini cocktail! Beyond the consistently excellent food, the ambiance is warm and cozy, Jill (the owner) makes you feel like family, and it’s one of the last locally owned restaurants in all of Aspen. Ellina is not to be missed, a true gem!
